Another week has come and gone, making it time for our Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 12 recap. “Across Frenemy Lines” brings us back to the super yacht Katina, where, starting last week, two new men are turning the tide for the exterior team. In contrast, relations between the interior team and the galley are sinking. Lara has clear visions for how things must run, so last-minute change-ups and requests are not her bag, even though this narrative is starting to frustrate Marina, Tzarina, and Captain Jason. Here is a breakdown of everything that transpired on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 12.

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 12?

Nicolas has already messed up royally, drinking with the guests during his first charter. But, unlike those who came before, Nicolas owns his mistakes. Now, Captain Jason has appreciative eyes trained on his newest deckhand, who remains safe (for now). Meanwhile, trouble is also brewing in the galley. Frustrations, pride, and misunderstood narratives are mounting, resulting in a conflict-filled episode of BDDU.

Captain Jason wants Marina in service, but Lara remains unsure

The crew awakens for another day, but Alesia remains tired. Tzarina notices.

Internally, Nicolas is struggling. He knows he messed up and that ignoring his actions might fly, yet Nicolas is not that kind of guy. As soon as he can, Nicolas plans on reporting his drunken shot to the captain.

The guests planned an excursion to a rum tasting and distillery tour, followed by a picnic lunch. A storm blows in, but this will not cancel their plans. In contrast, Captain Jason has a new plan to throw at Lara, asking her to place Marina on service during this outing. But Lara disagrees, telling her boss that Marina cannot “do service on her own.”

The camera pans to show Marina excelling solo with the guests as they eat breakfast on the sundeck. Back in the galley, Lara tells Captain Jason that Marina has never done service alone, so he asks her to give Marina a chance. In his interview, he notes that Lara needs to step outside her comfort zone.

The guests and first round of crew members (including Marina) depart, escorted away by a covered tender to help avoid the storm.

Lara heads to the galley, telling Tzarina to attend the picnic lunch. Tzarina, however, notes that the dishes for this excursion only need to be unwrapped and served, so the crew members in attendance do not need her nearby. Even still, Lara is adamant that Tzarina must attend. Tzarina relents and accepts, noting that she must be back on board early to prep dinner.

Lara suggests Alesia also attend to “help build” her confidence. Heading up to the sundeck, Lara next encounters Harry. She tells Harry that something is off with Tzarina.

Nicolas practices his shots-related speech using a Pirates of the Caribbean reference. He then explains that he got into yachting courtesy of his father, a professional windsurfer and kitesurfer who now works as a captain in the Mediterranean. His equally attractive father hates rules, but as he admits, Nicolas moves oppositely. Proving this point, Nicolas heads to the wheelhouse to turn himself in.

On the excursion, Marina busts her tail to wow their charter guests. Tzarina and Alesia arrive. As Marina serves rum, Tzarina uncovers her dishes and runs. As she explains, the boat is over an hour away, so Tzarina must head back now to ensure everything runs smoothly later.

After Tzarina bolts, Adair asks Alesia if she is okay. In response, Alesia states that she can uncover dishes. This response is what Tzarina tried to state to Lara earlier. But Alesia remains bothered, and Tzarina seems to be the one she feels annoyed by.

In the wheelhouse, Nicolas tells on himself. Thankfully, Captain Jason repays his honesty with grace. His job is safe.

Tzarina returns to the yacht following the excursion, frustrated with Lara

Back onboard, Tzarina tells Lara that this excursion was the “biggest waste” of her time. Lara asks if Tzarina went before the “food got taken out?” Confused, Tzarina answers yes. In her interview, Lara quips, “I wish Tzarina had been more passionate about serving the guests lunch than serving me this sh*tty attitude.”

The guests return. They loved their expedition. Alesia heads to the galley, where Tzarina is extra quiet. Alesia wants to help, yet the only reply she gets from Tzarina is a nod and a saying that all is well.

Nicolas tells everyone what he did and how the captain reacted. This crew likes Nicolas, so everyone feels thankful he kept his gig.

Lara enters, praising Alesia for her service during the excursion. Alesia was glad to go, yet she knew a lot needed to happen back on the yacht. Lara waves her concerns away. In her talking head, Tzarina states that Lara seems to be “grooming” Alesia to turn against her in the galley.

Several beats later, Harry asks Tzarina if she and Lara are getting along. Tzarina answers that she thinks all is well, but when she asks Harry why he questioned her about this friendship, Harry fibs, telling her no one brought this to his ear.

As the guests head to the dinner table, Alesia attempts small talk with Tzarina. Tzarina answers her questions kindly, but her words are few. Alesia somewhat snaps, telling Tzarina she cannot go an entire night like this “because it’s depressing.” Tzarina looks confused but tells Alesia that she is exhausted, nothing more or less.

Nicolas has his eyes on Marina while Harry keeps his ears attuned to the drama

In the crew galley, Marina encounters Nicolas. Nicolas finds Marina “adorable,” he admits, joking in his talking head that he never approached women while growing up. Laughing, Nicolas gives God thanks for feminism because bold women helped him out with his game.

The crew lines up to grab plates from Tzarina. Tzarina goes over what the guests are about to eat so they can parrot these words back to their guests. However, her explanation is wordy, causing Lara to roll her eyes.

Alesia retreats to her cabin for a moment of silence. Shortly after, thanks to editing, the guests also head to their rooms for bed.

Alesia heads to the galley in the morning. Tzarina gives her a task, which Alesia seeks clarification on. Alesia explains that she has “no idea” what is happening in Tzarina’s head, yet she feels like she is walking on eggshells at work now. Tzarina listens, stating she will tell Alesia more moving forward.

Lurking in the next room, hearing everything, Harry smiles, amused at their low-stakes drama. On deck, Nate teaches Adair as a capable bosun should. Speaking of capable, Tzarina is in the galley, licking water from her tumbler like a competent cat. I, too, wish to lurk inside her brain.

The guests depart. They loved their charter.

Marina finds Nicolas cute, but Adair reveals a secret that gives Marina pause

While turning the boat over, Marina tells Adair that she finds Nicolas cute. But this deck/stew has a secret. Nic has already started to “party with a guest,” Adair reveals. Shocked and disappointed, Marina listens as Adair continues, telling Marina that Nicolas already confessed everything to the captain.

Once Adair gets to the part of his actual sins, AKA drinking a shot with this guest in question, Marina looks relieved. Words matter, all. In her interview, Marina labels Nic a nerd, admitting she loves his honesty.

The crew, however, does not love their 15k tip. But Nicolas treasures the disco ball helmet, which Captain Jason hands him following his authentic showings. In their talking heads, the crew also applauds Nic while joking about how he presents. Nicolas is new, but he is already a winner on BDDU.

Similarly, Harry is winning on deck. Nate makes Harry the lead deckhand.

Tzarina walks in on a heated conversation while Marina and Nicolas bring the heat to the dance floor

Bri pulls Alesia into her cabin. Once there, Lara asks Alesia how work is going. Alesia says that communication is lacking. Tzarina enters, catching their gossip session red-handed. She reflects in her confessional, slamming Lara for her “b*tchy schoolgirl attitude.”

Tzarina exits. Lara tells Alesia that a good leader cares about others. Interjecting, Alesia concedes that Tzarina does care for her.

Bri climbs into bed with Harry. A few floors above, Alesia and Nate chat in the hot tub. Nate leaves, giggling with Nicolas in their cabin about how big a fan he is of Alesia.

The crew heads out. Nicolas sits by Marina, admiring how her feet swing instead of reaching the floor. Also sitting side-by-side are Alesia and Nate, but Alesia misses Johnny, she divulges. When Alesia gets up for a smoke, Tzarina follows.

Alesia finally tells Tzarina how bothered she is. Hearing her, Tzarina explains her stressors before apologizing to Alesia. For now, the galley team is okay. Also okay are Marina and Nicolas, kissing on the dance floor as their fellow yachties cheer.

Lara approaches Alesia, asking her how her talk with Tzarina went. Alesia answers, telling her all is fine, but, as Tzarina clocked, tensions are typically high in this industry for chefs. Lara shuts this narrative down, telling Alesia, “It doesn’t have to be like that.”

Lara finds Tzarina next. Tzarina states that she has to say yes to Lara to make her back down, like with the plates issue. As Lara repeats that she was right about that, Tzarina announces that she feels “done.”

Below Deck Down Under continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo and streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

Following a to-be-continued pause, we are back with our Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 11 recap. “The Shots You Don’t Take” picks up where last week left off, showcasing the aftermath of a fight between Wihan and Harry, Wihan and Johnny, Wihan and Lara, and Wihan and the entire viewing audience in general. Captain Jason now has to intervene, which means plane tickets home are coming. But will this crew react kindly to their newest hires, or can we expect to find additional drama on the horizon? Here is a breakdown of everything that transpired on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 11.

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 11?

Captain Jason fires Wihan and Johnny. Meanwhile, tensions are rising between Lara and Tzarina. Nevertheless, the crew does their best to move forward as two new crew members come on board, shifting their dynamics. But one new hire messes up badly on his first day of work, which might result in another early exit this season on BDDU.

Captain Jason sends Johnny away for a night, bringing him back in the morning for his firing

Captain Jason fears he has a loose cannon on board, so he sends Johnny to a hotel for the night. They will “chat about it in the morning,” Captain Jason remarks. “Yes, sir,” Johnny answers.

Growing concerned for her beau, a “gutted” Alesia calls Wihan, who labels Johnny “crazy.” Everyone then heads to bed, shaken by these events. In the morning, Captain Jason meets with Lara, who explains that Alesia accidentally crawled into bed with Wihan, thinking he was Johnny. Captain Jason brings Alesia to the wheelhouse, telling her she did nothing wrong.

Correct. But Wihan did. He knew Alesia was looking for Johnny. But instead of correcting her bed-crawling antics, Wihan hugged Alesia tightly, relishing his wrong fantasy about being a magnet for all ladies.

Not shockingly, Wihan retells this narrative to Adair differently, trying to say he thought Alesia wanted him, not Johnny. This man is stressful AF. Own something, Wihan. ANYTHING, please.

Then, Lara tells Captain Jason that Wihan also messed with Harry. Captain Jason heads off to interview Harry and then Tzarina. Both equally blame Wihan, not Johnny. Wihan enters the galley, blaming everyone but himself, as Johnny reboards to chat with Captain Jason.

Johnny gets the boot, a fate that he understands and respects. Before his exit, he makes peace with a “heartbroken” Alesia.

Captain Jason calls Wihan to the bridge for another firing

After seeing Johnny off the yacht, Captain Jason calls Wihan to the bridge. Once seated, Captain Jason tells Wihan he had several enlightening conversations that morning with other yachties. Shockingly confused, Wihan launches into a monologue about how helpful and positive he always is, so anyone who speaks poorly is mistaken. Thankfully, Captain Jason interjects, telling Wihan that changes need to happen.

Captain Jason fires Wihan. In his confessional, Wihan again stresses that he did his best, so if anyone is unappreciative, “so be it.” In her interview, Adair acknowledges that Wihan was the problem all along.

Captain Jason calls for the crew to meet in the main salon. He informs them that Johnny and Wihan are gone, and their replacements will follow. Then, they board their vans and head out for a fun day to unwind following this double-firing mess.

At a turtle sanctuary, the crew gushes over baby turtles while Captain Jason arranges for a new deckhand and bosun to arrive by the following morning. He leaves afterward, allowing his crew members time to unwind at a nearby beach.

Tensions mount in the galley as Nate Salmon and Nicolas Cattelan come on board

Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 11

Harry snags an invite to the preference sheet meeting the following morning. The guests want a mob wives-themed party, which excites Lara and Tzarina. These girls are also excited about their new approaching male crew members. Bosun Nate Salmon arrives first, and he seems chill and competent, which we love.

Deckhand Nicolas Cattelan arrives second. He is green, but Captain Jason is not scared. Following a few Star Trek comparisons regarding his new yacht, we are not afraid either. We like both men (so far).

Alesia is still grieving Johnny. Her head is not in the game, and her hands are on her phone, texting her departed man. Tzarina kindly clocks this as Lara enters, hugging Alesia.

Lara makes a Brady Bunch joke, which Marina fails to understand. Lara explains this old sitcom, describing one of the sisters as a “bit quirky, like Tzarina.” Tzarina overhears, sighing. She then explains that she always wanted to be popular, as the cutest childhood images ever flash by.

Tzarina was hoping she and Lara might bond. But this wish is now slowly dying.

The new and improved deck team is off to a solid start, but drama still exists in the interior department

As the crew prepares for their next charter, Nate is already on the case, helping in the interior like Wihan could never. The all-girls charter arrives at the yacht as the new deck team smoothly guides the vessel away from the dock.

Captain Jason approaches Marina, who jokes with him about his missing socks. Finally, Marina’s humor lands with her boss. Captain Jason finds Lara next, asking her to give Marina a shot at service. Lara says yes, but in her interview, she admits she needs to play her “best cards,” which is not always Marina.

The guests enjoy water toys as Nicolas waves them off, joking under his breath that they cannot see his efforts. As they head off to shower and get ready for dinner, the crew prepares for their mob wives-themed dinner. But Lara does not like the dishes Tzarina chose. They get into a small tit-for-tat as a giggly Nicolas overhears while walking to his cabin.

Despite the plates’ debacle, their unaware guests love their dinner. However, while serving, Lara and Tzarina get into another verbal scuffle over timing, which Captain Jason overhears. Things might get ugly soon, but we will hold out hope that we are wrong.

On deck, Nicolas entertains their guests with drinking games. He is awkward, he candidly notes. But when a guest orders him to take a shot, he complies, which Bri sees. Bri pulls Nicolas in, quietly letting him know of his error.

Nicolas is mad at himself. He is telling on himself tomorrow, he reveals. Hey, at least he’s accountable.

Below Deck Down Under continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 10 brings us to the dramatic, long-teased argument between Wihan and Johnny. This week, via an episode titled “Greek Tragedy,” we finally see what happens once a yachtie stops being polite and starts getting real with their failing superior. Last week, Lara also grew frustrated with Wihan, plus one of her stews, causing Captain Jason to enter both chats. Now, tensions below deck are reaching dangerous levels, so Captain Jason will soon have some serious decisions regarding the longevity of various crew members this season. Here is a breakdown of everything that transpired on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 10.

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 10?

During Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 10, Wihan twisted several narratives, causing dissension amongst his fellow yachties. In contrast, their rowdy charter exited, thankfully pleased with their vacation. Even still, Wihan remains accountability-less, throwing Harry under the yacht in addition to certain females on board. Johnny sees red, and when the captain hears about this, someone on the deck team will likely get fired.

Captain Jason encourages Wihan to do better, but a flash-forward event between 11:57 pm and 12:13 am teases his failures

BDDU Season 3 Episode 10 starts with a flash-forward, showing Harry breaking down on deck at 11:57 pm. Several floors below, Johnny is also breaking down at 12:13 pm, throwing his fist into his overhead cabinets as Wihan watches. Then, Johnny eerily covers their camera with his shirt.

The screen reads “16 hours earlier,” returning us to Wihan and his wheelhouse whining. After listening to his not-me cries, Captain Jason urges Wihan to step up his game.

After his attempts at getting Lara fired fail, Wihan heads to find Harry as the ticker reveals that it is now 9:27 am, roughly 14 hours before the teased sh*t hits the fan. Wihan discovers Harry in the galley, where Harry explains that he started his morning shift after visiting the whiteboard, focusing first on the unchecked areas Johnny left. Wihan interjects, telling Harry that from now on, the cleaning of the sundeck needs to be the main priority.

After a brief flirt with Tzarina, Wihan heads to the deck to speak with his team. Johnny tells Wihan that he worked his tail off by himself the night prior, but Wihan still finds fault, telling Johnny he also works hard, so he did not have time to check over his work until it was too late. The cameras pan to show Wihan not working hard (at all) that morning. Instead, Wihan was flirting with Adair in the galley.

Wihan continues speaking poorly of others as Marina takes accountability with Captain Jason

Captain Jason finds Lara to get her take on everything. Lara tells him that Wihan deflects blame often. She and Captain Jason note this is not how a leader should behave.

Back on deck, Wihan whines to Johnny about Lara. In response, Johnny flips the script, pointing out how Wihan is too “sensual” with the ladies. Wihan laughs him off.

Captain Jason also remains annoyed with Marina, whom he calls next to his wheelhouse. Captain Jason tells Marina that her comments to him have felt disrespectful. Marina agrees, humbly apologizing for her missteps. Appreciative, Captain Jason digs deeper, asking Marina about her team.

Marina then admits she desires to work on the service detail more. However, Lara is growing defensive towards her, which Marina does not like. Captain Jason shuts Marina down by telling her that he also spoke to Lara about this. In his mind, Marina is in the wrong for growing pissy with her boss in front of other crew members.

Marina then nods, agreeing to show Captain Jason growth. Marina is thankful she is not getting fired.

The charter guests depart as tensions continue mounting on board

Below Deck Down Under Season 3

Cindy, one of the guests, is ticking off William, the primary. She is not ready for breakfast, so she wants it pushed back. William labels Cindy as “demanding.” William asks Lara to bring out some of the breakfast, not all, so Lara radios these changes to Tzarina.

Unfortunately, Tzarina already has everything made. It must get served now. Alesia is growing tired of the dynamics between Tzarina and Lara. It is now 10:26 in the morning.

Harry offloads the tender for the guest’s departure. He does so as he sees fit, which is not the way Wihan requests. On the radio, Wihan admonishes Harry as all other crew members listen in. Captain Jason gets on the line, asking them to show respect.

Harry responds to another radio call, letting Wihan know that the orange jet ski is without fuel. Wihan condescendingly claps back before talking trash about Harry with Johnny.

The charter guests depart, leaving a $25,000 tip and only positive notes for the crew. In their tip meeting, Captain Jason urges everyone to stop passing blame.

Tomorrow, the crew is getting a day off at a private beach. They are thrilled. It is now 3:07 pm.

Wihan and Adair go on a date as Tzarina reveals intel that threatens their budding boatmance

Wihan lamely texts Tzarina, announcing he has a date with Adair. However, Wihan is nervous that Adair does not like him as he likes her. Tzarina sighs.

In their cabin, Wihan takes a loud swig of water. Harry turns, telling Wihan that his earlier tone on the radio was not great. Wihan tells Harry to leave him alone unless something is wrong.

In contrast, Lara and Bri are taking a cuddly nap in their cabin. Lara vents to Bri about Wihan before Tzarina enters, making them giggle at her unseriousness. Next door, Wihan tells Johnny that when “women reach a certain age, they don’t have anything going for them anymore,” minus envy, which is how he thinks Lara feels for him. Johnny disagrees. Johnny can live.

Wihan and Adair depart for their date as Johnny steals a quick kiss from Alesia, who asks him if they can later snuggle in his bunk. It is now 6:29 pm. The crew, minus Wihan and Adair, travels to a restaurant. On their date, Adair is happy, but Wihan is not her norm, she notes in her talking head.

The time is now 9:23 pm.

Wihan texts Tzarina from his date, saying he cannot get a read on Adair. Tzarina texts him back. Their texts continue throughout his date, making the other crew members annoyed. Tzarina agrees, telling them Wihan grabbed her ass and kissed her neck earlier.

Johnny looks disgusted. He tells his crew that he spoke to Wihan about his flirtations. Johnny hates “all this bullsh*t,” he quips. On cue, Wihan and Adair join them from their date.

Lara tells Adair what Tzarina revealed. Adair is upset.

The time is 9:41 pm.

Johnny fills Wihan in on the gossip, angering Wihan

Tzarina checks in with Johnny. Johnny appreciates Wihan but thinks Harry lacks initiative. Johnny then finds Wihan, letting him know Tzarina told the table about his butt grab and dinner time texts. Wihan rolls his eyes, blaming Tzarina like a never-wrong champion.

Johnny disagrees, telling Wihan he needs to stop doing “stupid stuff.” Wihan wrongly responds, “Maybe I should stop being so nice to girls.” Um, what?

Wihan notes he would not flirt with Alesia. The time is 11:03 pm.

Tzarina finds Harry, parroting back what Johnny said. Harry is annoyed. The crew heads back to the yacht. It is now 11:30 pm.

Wihan calls Harry an instigator in their cabin, telling Harry to “be careful.” Johnny steps in, asking them to keep things peaceful. Wihan whirls around, ignoring Johnny while telling Harry to stop talking behind his back to the interior. Harry remains respectful, simply saying “okay.”

But still, Wihan rises, telling Harry that he has “had enough,” so “this is it.” Biting his tongue, Harry says he understands. Even still, Wihan continues, telling Harry he brings a “bad vibe” to the yacht. Harry calmly admits that he does not understand what he did.

The music darkens. Wihan tells Harry to “stop what you are doing. STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING, NOW, PLEASE,” he yells, while a still-calm Harry asks again for an explanation. Instead of answering, Wihan grows louder, causing Harry to exit.

Tzarina brings Harry a beer. Crying, Harry recalls what just happened, saying he wants to quit. Tzarina pulls him in for a tight hug. It is now 11:57 pm.

Johnny snaps as the crew scrambles to make sense of the deck team’s demise

Harry continues crying. In their cabin, Wihan ponders why he works with such “stupid people.” Johnny reminds Wihan to stay calm.

The girls (minus Tzarina) are oblivious, living their best drunken lives on the yacht. Johnny approaches Harry. Harry’s tears break him. Johnny wants his team to find peace.

Johnny joins the ladies in the hot tub, filling them in on everything. He hates being in the middle. He gets up to find Harry again. Luckily, Tzarina is still with Harry, so she shuts Johnny down, telling him Wihan IS the only problem on board.

Tzarina and Lara take Harry to a guest cabin. Johnny follows, but Lara steps in, asking Johnny to give Harry space. These girls have fought with Wihan, so they understand his valid feelings, they state.

The time is now 12:13 am.

Alesia knocks on the boy’s door. She wakes Wihan, thinking it is Johnny. Alesia crawls into Wihan’s arms. Johnny enters, shocking Alesia into sobriety.

Johnny exits. He returns once Alesia also exits, telling Wihan he quits. Wihan acts innocent, asking Johnny to talk to him. Johnny snaps, locking their door before yelling, “DON’T F*CKING TALK TO ME,” while punching his overhead cabinets. The girls overhear, crying and growing concerned in their cabin.

“This boat is f*cking mental,” Johnny says, covering their in-room camera with his shirt. The screen darkens, announcing, TO BE CONTINUED.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 9 has arrived, bringing us to another recap of all things Wihan and his annoyed fellow yachties. This week’s episode, titled “Foam Sick,” shows Lara and Wihan remaining at odds as the heads of their departments. Last week, other crew members also grew frustrated with Wihan, prompting an intervention from Captain Jason. Once Captain Jason left his crew alone to hash things out, Wihan accepted zero blame for his antics on board. On the positive, Johnny and Alesia grew closer, as did Harry and Bri. Here is how Wihan and his love-struck costars fared on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 9.

During Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 9, Lara and Tzarina continued battling their frustrations with Wihan. Unfortunately, Wihan continued to ignore and pass the buck on their concerns, surprising no one on board. At least their guests had a great time covering his deck in foam. Between the boatmances and the absent-minded bosun, several problems arose this week, which might signal the beginning of the end for Wihan.

We pick up where we left off, showing Tzarina pleading with Wihan to own his sh*t. Wihan apologizes, but then he notes something unrelated, which Lara clocks. Wihan then admits that his team has plenty of downtime. Lara reminds him that when his team is free, he needs to assign them to help with other departments.

Wihan does not care. Wihan does not lead in an enforcement-like way, so he will continue doing what he wants, he quips. Yikes. In his interview, Wihan brags that his team has moments to have fun, and it is not his fault that other departments do not share in this luxury.

Tzarina asks if they can chat again after the next preference sheet meeting. All parties agree. After this failed meeting, Tzarina heads to see Lara, giving her friend a much-needed hug in her cabin.

In her cabin, Alesia is preparing for her first date with Johnny. Bri reassures her as Tzarina encourages Harry in the galley nearby, asking Harry to step things up with Bri. Harry reveals that tonight is their night, as he has access to a guest cabin and nothing but time.

Tonight, the crew is celebrating Marina with a birthday celebration. Lara and Tzarina worked hard to have the food and decor just right. Thankfully, Marina loved their efforts. Wihan also loves the efforts of Adair.

Off the boat, Johnny makes Alesia laugh. Her feelings scare her, she admits. A thunderstorm arrives as they return to the yacht, ending the birthday celebration in favor of hot tub games like Never Have I Ever and Truth or Dare. Alesia finally kisses Johnny while Harry and Bri head to the guest cabin.

In the galley, Adair kisses Wihan, admitting she likes him too.

Harry and Bri take to a guest cabin in between charters

Harry and Bri continue kissing in the guest cabin. In his cabin, Wihan celebrates his wins with Adair. But then Wihan crawls into his bunk, telling Johnny that Bri deserves a man, not a “wimp” like Harry. Johnny politely disagrees.

Bri reveals that she is past her insecurities the following morning. She and Harry enjoyed their night, and apparently, there are sides to Harry we will never see, unlike her. TELL US MORE, BRI!

The crew readies their yacht for the next charter. Corinne Olympios, last seen on House of Villains, is coming on board with her sister and friends. They want a foam party. They also hope to come aboard the yacht via jet skis.

After the preference sheet meeting, Lara takes control, telling Wihan how she plans on using their shared team member, Adair. Wihan agrees to her plans. Lara then tells her girls that Marina is on housekeeping for this charter, but Marina grows annoyed, as she wants to be used more with the guests instead. Adair sides with Marina, but Lara professionally shuts Adair down.

Marina later asks Bri how she feels about Lara and her systems. Bri keeps things kind. The cameras then cut to the guests hurtling toward the yacht.

Marina oversteps with Captain Jason as the charter guests grow rowdy on deck

The charter guests come on board, ready to party. Lara takes them around, making a pit stop in the wheelhouse at their request. Captain Jason is not there, however. He is downstairs, helping Marina with their luggage.

Marina corrects Captain Jason about the placement of one of the suitcases. He overrides this stew’s suggestion, annoying Marina.

As the interior team and chefs struggle to meet their deadlines, Wihan is on deck, playfully fighting with Johnny. Harry interjects, reminding them to check in with Lara if they have downtime. In his interview, Wihan admonishes Harry, as he is the boss, not Harry.

Wihan radios Lara, who tells him the guests will likely emerge from their cabins in 30 minutes. Wihan disappears, but the guests exit early, jumping overboard from the yacht into the deep waters below. Lara radios for the deck team to come out, which Johnny does, alongside Captain Jason, who implores his wild guests to never jump without a team member present. Captain Jason has to step in again moments later after a guest brings his jet ski too close to the yacht, splashing his friends.

The guests then board a tender with Captain Jason and Wihan for a day of snorkeling. The cinematic shots here score a 10/10.

Captain Jason scolds Marina while Tzarina goes all out for dinner

Back onboard, Captain Jason cracks open a bottle of meds with a joke about how he gets when he is apart from his digestives (SAME, CAPT). Marina jokes back, asking if a lack of meds turns him into a cranky micromanager like she saw earlier. Captain Jason (and everyone at home, likely) failed to laugh, telling her he only steps in when others struggle to step up. He scolds Marina, telling her to “never talk like that to me” again.

Uh oh, Marina.

Tzarina is treating the guests to a feast. This dinner is for a birthday celebration, and everyone on board is wearing a wig. Back in the galley, Alesia is getting distracted, which Tzarina notes. Thankfully, their guests liked their results.

Tzarina is tired. She falls on Wihan, asking him to hug her tightly. Wihan complies.

Harry goes down to bed. Wihan tells Johnny to wash the deck down after the foam party ends. He also asks Johnny to write down anything he fails to get done. Johnny agrees.

The guests enjoy their foam party. The foam is so massive that it covers the heads of their guests. Consequently, one guest gets sick, promptly spewing over the side of the yacht. He rejoins the party after, like a puke and rally king.

The guests go to bed. Johnny starts hosing down the deck, asking Lara and Bri where Wihan has gone. The camera shows Wihan lounging in the crew mess with a snack. On deck, Johnny is overwhelmed, but Wihan heads to his cabin for bed, never once checking in on Johnny.

The guests enjoy their foam party, but in the morning, drama arrives on deck

Johnny goes above and beyond to clean the deck, but as he is only one human, a lot is left over for Harry to complete. When Harry sees this, he is frustrated.

Captain Jason is also frustrated. He asks Lara if she has heard about his interaction with Marina. Lara admits that she has. Lara then fills Captain Jason in on her struggles with Marina, who then asks Lara to “leave it to” him to sort.

The guests are awake and on deck, where Wihan instructs Harry to clean with him. Harry responds, telling Wihan that the guests are having breakfast, so this is not the time to pull out their vacuums. Wihan disagrees, blaming Johnny for not writing down his lack of vacuuming on the board. Lara appears, also telling Wihan that now is not the time to clean.

Wihan throws Johnny under the bus again. Lara shuts him down, saying Johnny was alone and awake for three hours cleaning. Wihan throws Harry under the yacht next, as Harry should have picked up the slack first thing that morning. Harry and Lara are both annoyed, so Wihan runs to fill Captain Jason in on this mess first.

In the wheelhouse, Wihan tells Captain Jason that Lara is stepping on his toes. His plan backfires. Captain Jason tells Wihan to stop throwing others under the bus and do his job. In his confessional, Captain Jason makes it clear that if Wihan and Lara cannot figure their sh*t out, one of them is going home.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 8 is here, which means another recap for fans who want to relive all of the latest BDDU installment’s drama! This week’s episode, called “Rumble in the Jungle,” promised to be a treat. We left things off with Tzarina panicking about the beach picnic, due to timings not being communicated efficiently. There’s also simmering tension between Lara and Wihan; will the heads of department be able to pull together, or is it time for somebody to be cut lose? Here’s what went down in Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 8…

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 8?

During Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 8, Lara and Tzarina sat down with Wihan to talk through their issues. They’re not the only ones angry at the bosun though; Harry also feels as though his department lead isn’t treating the staff with any respect. That’s not the way to get the job done. Captain Jason is forced to step in, and demands the heads of department talk it out. But will they be able to find a path forward?

Wihan’s head is in the clouds

Focused on his (questionable) love for Adair, Wihan’s head doesn’t seem to be in the game. While Tzarina and Lara stress about the beach picnic timings, due to a long bicycle ride to see some gorgeous tortoises, he’s flexing shirtless in the mirror inside his cabin. Which admittedly is a great sight for sore eyes, but that’s beside the point.

On the yacht, Captain Jason notices a huge swell and goes out to find a new anchorage. Staying in the current spot would likely cause seasickness when the guests return. The boat is tipping, but sous chef Alesia is more focused on making a good impression with her crewmates. She’s already offended Wihan by suggesting he’s “gone through half the crew.” Alesia admits she’s got “zero filter,” but she’s not above apologizing. Personally, I think she was spot on.

Finally arriving at their beach picnic, the guests seem impressed! “She’s really talented,” says one about Tzarina’s skills. Lara is more focused on keeping everything moving, and is baffled by Wihan’s decision not to attend. She thinks he’s being lazy, and at this point, when he’d rather be writing letters professing his feelings for a member of crew, it’s hard to deny.

Alesia texts Wihan to apologize, but he thinks she’s playing games. Harry tries to pull Wihan back from the ledge, but the bosun is too far gone. His attempts to explain away the apology dip slightly into misogyny. Let me be clear – I don’t think Wihan hates women – I just think that how he dismisses Alesia is unconsciously rooted in a societal construct of how a woman must be trying to fight for a man’s attention, rather than simply having a human moment. Not a good look. “Delusional,” as Harry says.

Wihan’s caught standing around rather than doing his job

With everybody back on the yacht, Jason wants to move – but there’s anchor issues. While Johnny struggles, Wihan is looking through photos of tortoises – and Jason can see him slacking on the job via the CCTV system. “Why are you standing around?” he radios. And as the anchor chain remains stuck, Johnny’s hand looks way too close to the metal. I don’t want to see his hand ripped off, so I can admit I closed my eyes. Thankfully, Johnny gets the job done, and Jason is thankful.

Wihan then pulls Adair for a chat, asking her if she’s kept his letter. Meanwhile, Alesia’s explaining to Tzarina why she made a shady comment to the bosun. Tzarina’s confused as to why he’s even asking for food for a date while they have guests on board. As is often the case, Tzarina makes a great point.

In confessional, Adair admits Wihan is growing on her “a little bit.” She usually goes for the country boys, but she likes the “calm and soft” side of her bosun. “Refreshing change, I guess.” It’s hard to know if she’s being serious; Adair also has such a sense of calm about her, it’s difficult to understand if she’s excited, nervous, scared, sad; any of the emotions.

Back in the crew mess, Tzarina admits to Jason the beach picnic organization was “a mess.” She feels she took charge, and throws Wihan under the bus. “He wasn’t even at the excursion,” she says. Jason’s confused as to why his bosun couldn’t follow even the most simple plan. “We’ll put it to bed, and then we’ll bring it up after the charter.”

Harry’s growing tired of the deck crew’s commitment to work

Later, Lara asks Harry and Wihan for help putting together the Fear Factor-style games requested by the guests. Harry’s up for it, and Wihan doesn’t complain. As the yacht anchors in a new location, the decorations are laid. Lara’s frustrated, because Wihan doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing despite Lara already explaining. He’s completely off his game. “I will get it under control,” Harry promises the chief stew.

As he heads to the kitchen, Bri speaks to Marina about their blossoming romance. She’s worried that Harry might think their relationship is just for the boat. I understand her concerns, but I personally think she’s got our boy all wrong. He’s just trying to take it slow and learn from his past mistakes.

What Harry won’t tolerate is being left to do all the work by himself. He tells Wihan and Adair he feels like a “one-man team” prepping the Fear Factor challenges. They spring into action, but the tension is simmering, much like Alesia’s cooking. Johnny’s attempting to woo her, and his magic might be working. She’s enjoying the flirting, despite rejecting his kiss a few nights before.

The guests are seated for their dining experience, and Jason’s joining them. Marina and Adair are cleaning the guest cabins, and while Johnny and Wihan promise to help, they spend much of their time watching turtles having sex. Harry’s pissed; he just wants to get the job done.

“Every single deckhand’s in the interior … pissing around,” Harry tells Lara. Meanwhile, Marina’s ready to “explode,” because she’s being distracted. “If I hear one more turtle sex noise, I promise to God, I’ll whoop your ass on down to the crew mess.”

Wihan listens in on Harry’s conversation with Captain Jason

After reaffirming his adoration of Bri, Harry finally takes a minute to decompress. Speaking with Tzarina, he says there are some things that need to be improved. “There’s no schedule,” he says of Wihan’s techniques. “It’s just exhausting.”

Moments later, he’s proven correct. After Harry calls Wihan out, he snaps back. “We’re just finishing cabins … I had to dry showers and sh*t,” Wihan claims. Tzarina tells him he’s “f*cked up,” and Wihan goes back to playing on his phone in the crew mess. “What did I do wrong?” he asks Tzarina after service. She says it’s “a lot of communication stuff.”

Harry joins the conversation, and points out that they were calling for help over the radio. “Why is she angry at me? How am I putting pressure on the interior?” Wihan just cannot take responsibility. “This is actually gonna make me angry.” Harry then asks what he’s doing wrong, because Wihan says Johnny being on nights led to “zero complaints.”

“That doesn’t make sense at all,” Harry tells him. Somehow, Wihan is trying to flip the blame onto his team. Harry tells him he’s not “dumb,” and he wants a schedule mapped out for transparency. “It would solve all the communication issues.” Wihan stomps up to the whiteboard and, with an attitude, lays it all out.

Thankfully, the guests are still having a great time, oblivious to the drama. Jason finds Harry looking stressed, and pulls him into the bridge. He explains his issues with Wihan, with Wihan in earshot, listening from outside. “Loyalty is extremely important to me,” Wihan says in confessional. “I don’t really know if I can trust this guy anymore.”

Lara tells Wihan how she really feels

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 8

“I don’t know how many more times I need to sit down with this girl,” Wihan says in the crew mess to Johnny. He’s blaming Lara for the communication issues – all while Bri walks in and out. Her eyeroll in confessional says it all.

In her cabin, Marina questions why she’s not on service, as the guests wrap up their Fear Factor challenges. Adair tells her she’s being “too nice.” It would be nice to see the stewardesses switch roles each charter; that’s usually how things are kept fair. If she brought this up respectfully with Lara, I expect she’d take it well.

Speaking of Lara, Harry’s asking for her permission to set up a crew cabin for a “snuggle” with Bri once the guests have left. The blessing is given, and he’s over the moon. Still, it probably doesn’t make up for him working like a dog until the very early hours.

The next day arrives, and it’s Marina’s 26th birthday! A perfect time to show her some love. As Harry rests, Wihan bitches that he’s making his job “harder.” The lack of self-awareness is truly astounding. Adair’s also got an attitude, which she unleashes on Jason when he asks why she’s making coffee for herself and Wihan when they should be up on deck. “You’re missing the point,” he says with a smile as she argues her case. She shouldn’t mistake Jason’s kindness for weakness. “It’s not a retreat. We’re here to work.”

Then, Wihan confronts Lara. He tells her of the conversation he had with Tzarina. “Sometimes I feel like there’s not really much structure in the deck crew,” she says, before pointing out Adair’s situation with Jason. “This is a superyacht, it needs to be perfect, and it’s not.”

Jason calls Wihan for a conversation in the bridge

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 8

“I really think Wihan prioritizes working, same as I do,” Johnny says in confessional. He’s got respect for his bosun, which paints a very different picture to the one we’re seeing. Still, Wihan must be doing something right, at least when it comes to Johnny.

In the bridge, Johnny asks for Jason’s permission to take Alesia out for a drink after drop off. Captain Jason gives the all clear, and Alesia seems thrilled when Johnny tells her he’s booked a restaurant reservation. I’m into this boatmance!

After the (very lovely) guests are dropped off, Jason calls Wihan to the bridge. “I need you to sharpen your team up,” he tells him, before relaying the coffee incident. “Not teaching your team the right way is not a leader. At the moment, I’m talking to you like a head of department. Now the next step is me actually going out there and being that hard guy, and you don’t want me to, ‘cause then I’m actually talking to you like a deckhand. So, don’t get me in that position.”

Jason then admits his surprise at Wihan not attending the beach trip. “I don’t wanna nitpick at everything, but it has come to my attention a little bit … there’s some negativity and moaning going on. It’s gotta stop. That infection will spread like a wildfire. If you just can’t sort it out, I’ll make changes.” The law has been laid out – but will Wihan listen? His immediate pushback suggests not entirely…

It’s time for an open dialogue between the department heads

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 8

As the tip meeting is called, the crew celebrate the end of the fourth charter. Jason points out that communication is a problem, and asks the head of department to stay behind so they can have an open dialogue.

Jason tells the department heads they need to have a chat. It’s one he’s going to leave them to, rather than inserting himself in.

Tzarina opens the discussion by asking for more “support.” She uses the picnic as an example, explaining how she needs more “information” to succeed. Lara adds that she needs Wihan to “take control” of tasks, and “please listen” during moments such as service. “I don’t wanna keep asking and feeling like I’m trying to tell everyone what to do.”

Wihan then says he has “confusion” about how much time he can allow his deck team to be in the interior. Tzarina thinks he needs “discipline,” and Lara admits she doesn’t think Wihan’s team respects him.

“I want you to go out there and work for an hour,” he says to Lara of the deck jobs. “You have an explanation for everything, you’ve not once gone, ‘Yeah I’ve f*cked up,’ not once,” Tzarina adds. And then, the episode ends! This is real drama, and juicy. Until next time…

Below Deck Down Under continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Welcome back for the Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 7 recap. The ship show continues this week via a new episode titled “Declaration of Love.” With a new sous-chef in the galley and an always lovestruck (yet ill-equipped) Bosun on deck, the nautical narratives are equally miraculous and messy this week on Bravo. If you missed it, here is everything that went down in BDDU Season 3, Episode 7.

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 7?

Wihan loves Adair. After weeks of pining (and a few makeout sessions with others not named Adair), Wihan finally gathers his courage to let Adair know how he feels. Meanwhile, Alesia, the new sous-chef, bonds with Tzarina in the galley, offering us all a nice departure from the antics of her predecessor. Despite these uplifting (in theory) narratives, drama still enters the chat, courtesy of an uncommunicative Wihan.

Bri remains unsure of where she stands with Harry as Lara scolds Wihan, who confesses his feelings to Adair

The crew awakens to prep the yacht for another charter. Johnny heads to the galley to apologize to Alesia for his too-soon kiss the night before. Alesia lets Johnny off the hook, calling their night out “good fun.”

On deck, the team helps remove the damaged jet ski so it can undergo repairs at the port. Afterward, Wihan heads inside, where Lara asks about his double breakup with Tzarina and Marina. Wihan admits that even after he ended things with these women, he still kissed Tzarina before bed. “Don’t mess with my girls,” Lara warns.

In the galley, Alesia admits that she is a green chef. Yet, Alesia desires to try new things in life, which will help differentiate her from her twin sister back on land. Despite her lack of experience, Tzarina remains thrilled, as Alesia desires to learn, not lament, in her galley.

Back on deck, Johnny admits that he likes Alesia. Likewise, Harry remains all in with Bri. But in the cabins, Bri reiterates that Harry keeps giving her mixed signals. Bri might have to walk away from Harry, she admits.

Wihan runs to the galley to tell Tzarina that Lara is angry with him. On cue, Lara walks in and confirms his statement. Wihan asks Lara if she wants to apologize for her anger towards him, which, what? Lara declines his ask.

Wihan heads back upstairs to admire Adair as she works. As the two swab the deck, Wihan admits that he likes her. In her confessional, Adair says nope, but on deck, she keeps things kind and aloof, ever the professional yachtie.

Wihan places his feelings and ego first as a new charter group boards the yacht

Captain Jason holds a preference sheet meeting. Another group of females is coming on board, and they wish to visit La Digue, the number one beach in the world, complete with a tortoise sanctuary and a bike ride. Captain Jason warns his department heads that communication will be vital in making this excursion work.

Instead of staying to start this process, Wihan announces he needs to run off the yacht for a bit. But his exit is not deck-team-related. Instead, Wihan has run away to write a love letter to Adair. Harry and Johnny need Wihan, but he is nowhere to be found.

Wihan returns and stands in the doorway as their provisions arrive, making the ladies run up and down the dock with the boxes. After, Lara prepares her team for their next charter. She assigns Marina to housekeeping, which annoys Marina, who likes seeing sunlight, not laundry.

The next group of charter guests board the yacht. The primary thinks Captain Jason is checking out one of her guests, which, NO, THE BOY IS MINE, but whatever. Despite my feelings, this cute group of ladies appears to be upbeat and fun, which the BDDU yachties appreciate.

Lara and Wihan butt heads over Wihan’s unwillingness to work as a team

Tzarina and Alesia get to work in the galley. In her confessional, Tzarina praises Alesia’s attitude. Alesia is teachable. And this trait is a win, Tzarina admits.

In the background, the already silly guests play with the automatic doors, giggling with their martinis as the doors open and close. Behind them, one falls to the floor laughing as another accidentally steps on her hair, pining her to the floor. “They’re gonna be good fun,” Lara quips.

On deck, Wihan shows his love letter to Harry. In his confessional, Harry laughs. The guests join them on deck, ready for fun in the sun.

In the interior, Lara prepares little shorts with fronds attached for the men, ensuring their dinner service will be a hit with their guests. Outside, she grabs Wihan for help, but Wihan tells her no.

“If we are just gonna walk off deck and start giving you a hand in the interior, then they are gonna start taking the piss out of that,” he explains. In a confessional, Lara slams Wihan for being “all about himself.” In his confessional, Wihan blames Lara, saying she is the only reason things are not getting done in the interior.

“For f*cks sake,” Wihan sighs once out of sight of Lara. Wihan advises his team to stop standing around looking free, as Lara wants help that Wihan does not wish to supply.

Johnny does not mind helping, he notes. Unlike his boss, Johnny understands the assignment.

The battle between Wihan and Lara ramps up before Wihan delivers his letter to Adair

Dinner service begins. Everyone looks fantastic. Sadly, Alesia over-seasoned the curry meant for the crew, but Johnny finds positive things to say, as he is smitten with Alesia.

The guests love their dinner. They also love the men’s outfits, which keep lessoning with each dish served. As dessert arrives, the guys are down to their speedos and fronds, which Wihan admits he dislikes wearing. Lara reminds Wihan that he stripped for their last guests, but her words land wrongly, as Wihan takes a shot at her in his confessional, saying that he is not “one of her minions.”

Wihan continues grumbling in the galley. Harry calls him out. “This is not about the silver hotpants,” Harry notes, stressing, “This is personal.” Yep, you clocked it, Harry.

Tzarina also tries helping, telling Wihan that Lara did not specifically order such tiny hotpants for the boys to wear. Nevertheless, Wihan remains frustrated with Lara. To help his feelings, Wihan slides his love letter underneath Adair’s door. She reads it, telling Marina that his words are sweet.

Lara helps Harry with his love life, but nothing can help Wihan, as his lack of oversight threatens to ruin this charter

Lara tells Harry that Bri questions his feelings. Harry is shocked but states that he will work on fixing their relationship. He sends Bri a reassuring text, which does the trick. “Hell yeah,” Harry states in his bunk, reading Bri’s reply.

The beach picnic arrives, but poor communication checked in as a plus one. Tzarina, Lara, and Adair ask thought-provoking questions, but Wihan wants to play things by ear.

Wihan stays onboard as the others depart, ready to tackle the guest’s long-awaited beach day. Instead of working, as the others who remained on board are, Wihan approaches Alesia, wanting her to make a cheese board for a date with Adair that he has yet to make.

Alesia asks, “Was she not slightly put off [by] the fact that you’ve gone through half the crew?” Her words anger Wihan, who says he has not gone through anyone. Still, Alesia, my new favorite crew member, tells Wihan to make this himself, as she is busy.

“No, baby girl. This is not going to work like that,” Wihan argues in his interview, noting that a sous-chef is not vital enough of a gig to be too busy for him. EW.

On land, the guests enjoy their bike rides around the beach. The camera pans to the yacht, showing Wihan calling Alesia a “stupid f*cking person.” On this same note, the guests are tired, as their bike ride is longer than expected. It seems Wihan forgot to factor in travel time, and this lack of oversight threatens to ruin the entire schedule for this excursion.

Wihan, good luck with the fallout of this day.

Below Deck Down Under continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Welcome back for the Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 6 recap. This week, the drama continues via a new episode, hotly titled “The Captain’s Lounge.” With an ousted sous-chef and a messy marriage-minded Bosun wreaking havoc on morale, this yacht might need to turn back towards port to dole out some punishments. If you missed it, here is everything that went down in BDDU Season 3, Episode 6.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 6 saw Tzarina meeting her new sous-chef, Alesia Harris. The arrival of Alesia means one more female is onboard, which Wihan appreciates. However, the charter guests experienced a rough start last week after Wihan failed to address an issue with a jetski, causing a non-swimmer to fall into the ocean. So now the deck team has to go all out to ensure their guests leave happy, not haggard.

This week picks up with Wihan on a jet ski looking confused. Thankfully, Johnny knows what to do. Johnny rescues and comforts India, their afflicted guest. When the guest sitting behind Wihan asks if they can help, Wihan springs back to life, moving his jet ski closer to Johnny.

After helping India onto his ski, Wihan returns to the yacht with his two passengers. Captain Jason is in the water, helping entertain their guests. Meanwhile, Johnny is left alone with the water-filled ski, which continues sinking every minute.

Wihan tells Captain Jason that he must return to help Johnny. He fails to note his part, however. Wihan ignored his deck team, who urged him to drain and test the jet ski before this event. This key omitted detail will likely cause Captain Jason to see red.

Onboard, Adair tends to India, who thankfully only has a surface scratch. Once Wihan returns to Johnny, they work to tie the sinking ski to his, pulling it quickly back to the yacht. However, the ski capsizes, so Captain Jason has to call on the lesser-seen engineers to help pull it out of the waves.

Lara pours a stiff drink for India before agreeing with Captain Jason that they must go “all out” at dinner to help salvage this charter. To do this, they will create a Captain’s Lounge-styled bar for their guests. In the galley, Tzarina hugs Wihan, who sighs in his confessional after she yells “I love you” at his retreating backside.

Wihan approaches Harry and Johnny, asking his deck team what happened to the jet ski. Johnny explains that the ski started sinking when the guest eased up on the gas. Wihan wants them to learn from this experience.

Last week, the guests sent back half their entree plates. Tzarina hopes to win them over with a better, albeit less intricate, meal that night.

Captain Jason calls Wihan to the wheelhouse. Wihan explains that he saw everything. When the guest took their hand off the gas, it capsized, Wihan says. Captain Jason rightfully calls this odd.

Wihan adds that he drained the ski that morning before putting it in the water, but he did not then test it for any leaks. Captain Jason tells Wihan to do better.

Lara grabs Wihan next. Lara knows that Wihan used to strip. Tonight, he will return to his roots to help please their guests, Lara tells him. Wihan happily agrees.

Harry asks Wihan about his lady situationships on board. Wihan notes that he is in a “weird place,” as his kiss with Tzarina was just for fun. Likewise, maybe he “shouldn’t have kissed Marina,” Wihan states.

Harry asks Wihan how he might fix this mess. Wihan laments that he is unsure, as he has not given either woman much attention.

Later in the galley, Tzarina asks Bri about her future with Harry, who happens to walk into the room and overhear, sending them all into giggles. Nevertheless, the crew changes for their final dinner service with these guests.

Tzarina nails her meal. Marina, however, needs help in the cabins, so Adair rushes to her aid. Adair does what she can, leaving the bathrooms for Marina to complete. Frustrated, Marina radios for help, asking where Adair has gone.

Marina vents to Lara, telling her that Adair refused to clean the bathrooms. This statement annoys Lara.

Captain Jason appears in a tiny robe, posing on the couch, which YAS. Lara brings the guests down to his new lounge bar, and just like me, these ladies loved what they saw.

As Captain Jason smokes on his fake cigar, Wihan appears, stripping like there is no tomorrow. Marina digs his dance skills, but Wihan keeps confusing her with his hot and cold vibes.

Harry says goodnight to Bri. He thinks they are in a solid place. But Bri does not. She does know where she stands with Harry.

Adair encounters Wihan on deck the following morning. Wihan giggles as she speaks, clearly smitten with the last remaining untouched-by-him female on board. As Johnny enters, Wihan admits that he is in love with Adair.

The battle over Adair begins as Alesia, the new sous-chef, comes on board

Lara calls Wihan to the bridge, telling Captain Jason that Adair refused to clean the bathrooms. Wihan enters as Lara is explaining. Captain Jason urges his two department heads to improve communications with their shared deck stew.

Lara radios for Adair to head to the cabins. Wihan radios back that he prefers Adair start on deck. Adair sighs. Meanwhile, Lara, Bri, and Tzarina dance in the galley, happy for a night off once their guests depart.

The new sous chef is arriving, so Johnny is moving into the boy’s cabin. Adair speaks with Marina, who tells Adair she appreciates her help.

The guests depart. Johnny gets the disco ball headset. Alesia, the new sous-chef, arrives. Alesia is green, she admits, but Tzarina loves her energy.

So does Wihan. Cool cool.

That night, Tzarina hands Wihan a rose at the bar. Wihan pulls her in for a motorboating hug. He likes it. But his heart remains with Adair, he admits in his confessional.

Wihan breaks up with Tzarina and Marina. Meanwhile, Johnny dances with Alesia. Johnny goes in for a kiss, but Alesia turns her head, telling him it is too soon. Alesia digs him, however, she admits.

In their vans, Lara tells a laughing Marina that Wihan is in love with Adair, yet Adair has no clue. Back on the yacht, Harry kisses Bri as Wihan makes out with Tzarina. Harry feels good about this night, but Bri was expecting more.

Uh oh. Cue a shortage of baby giraffes.

Below Deck Down Under continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Welcome back for the Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 5 recap. This time round, the episode’s called “Submergency,” which casts a gloomy cloud over proceedings before things even get started. With romance on the yacht, and drama around each of the many corners, we’re in for another bumpy ride. Here’s everything that went down in BDDU Season 3, Episode 5.

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 5?

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 5 saw Tzarina and Marina exchange some salty glances and words. Wihan has everybody spinning with his flirty behavior, but his work antics are also raising some brows. Lara’s stressed that not everything is up to standard, and Captain Jason has a new sous-chef on the way. When new guests arrive, they look ready to a good time. But things go wrong on a jet ski, leading to a dangerous situation for one guest in particular. All that and more, on BDDU Season 3, Episode 5: “Submergency.”

Tzarina’s “brain is cooked” as Marina and Wihan enjoy a date

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 5

We pick things up right where we left off. Wihan’s kissing Marina on their date, and Tzarina’s just found out about their night out. “Backstabbing b*tch,” she says of the stewardess. “F*ck off.” Marina does herself no favors when Wihan calls her a “good kisser,” and she tells him she’s better than the head chef at playing tonsil tennis.

“It’s annoying because I thought Wihan and I were vibing,” Tzarina admits. “I feel like I misread the situation, again.” We’re then treated to Tzarina and Culver Bradbury flashbacks, where he told her he would “put a ring on it, quick.” He then decided to swap spit with another crew member. History’s repeating itself, and I feel bad for Tzarina! Still, at least she’s found out about Wihan within 24 hours…

In the crew mess, Bri tells Lara about “gentleman” Harry. She seems head over heels. But when Bri then explains Wihan is out with Marina, she’s stunned. “I don’t know what the deal is with this guy,” Lara says in confessional. “It’s just like, ‘Who’s the flavor of the day?’”

As Marina and Wihan return, the crew ask for a debrief. Marina has “no complaints,” and then throws some shade at Tzarina for no reason other than I think she must be incredibly insecure. It’s a shame, because Marina had been impressing me up to this point. But this just felt like mean girl behavior. Or, I could be totally misreading the situation. You tell me!

Wihan’s kissed two of the crew, and now wants to try for a third

It’s the morning after the night before, and Wihan wakes up in his cabin with Harry. “I was thinking about it … I’m into Adair,” Wihan confesses. “She’s so beautiful.” Harry is stunned, and says the deck-stew is just “going with the flow.” Wihan then says something about being “available” in confessional, but I’m distracted by yet another shot of that butt. He likes showing off those buns.

Now it’s time for true romance; Harry’s talking about dating a model for the first time in his life. He likes Bri “a lot,” and wants to “play it cool” with the stunner. For now, it’s working. I just hate that the Below Deck franchise has me thinking their relationship is doomed before it’s even taken off properly. Fingers crossed the two can break the mold.

In the bridge, Captain Jason has made contact with an available sous-chef, but they probably won’t be available for this next charter. Tzarina’s spiraling over Marina’s behavior. “I feel like that’s girl code just so far out the f*cking window,” she tells Lara. Then in confessional, the chief stew throws her under the bus. Sigh.

“For me, Tzarina is definitely a bit desperate to find love. On our last boat, she once left a trail of sweets from her cabin to this guy’s cabin. Like Hansel and Gretel, like, ‘This is where you should come to bed.’ She is hungry, so Marina, you need to be careful. If Tzarina wants a man, she is going to do everything to get that man.” I’m actually hopeful Tzarina will toss Wihan aside but, oh wait, she’s cuddling him and allowing herself to be lifted into the air. Never mind.

Who’s joining superyacht Katina and the crew?

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 5

It’s time for the third preference sheet meeting of the season. Aisha Murff is the co-primary. She’s a boat owner herself, expecting an “exquisite dining experience.” Her fellow primary is Gai A. Spann, who advises the crew should be prepared for “divas expecting luxury service.” Sounds pretty standard!

Lara’s keeping Marina on laundry because she did a good job last charter, and Wihan’s taking the lead with the deck team. When she gets a second alone with Bri, Lara fills her in on Tzarina’s upset. So, they grab Harry to spill all of the tea. “What did Wihan say about Marina?” he asks. “He can’t make up his mind,” he tells them. And when they ask who about? He tells them between Marina and Adair.

Harry feeds back how upset Tzarina has been to Wihan, and he plays dumb. “She hasn’t said anything to me,” he says, before cracking a joke. As a bosun, with plenty of yachting experience, Wihan should know how these things work. You don’t just play with people like he has. It’s unnecessarily cruel at worst, and incredibly ignorant at best.

Helping bring in provisions, Tzarina makes her feelings semi-clear. “Now you feel guilty,” she says to Wihan. “Maybe it’s because you haven’t asked out a certain stunning chef.” He says she could ask too, but she puts the ball firmly in his court. Tzarina, don’t sell yourself short! Wihan probably isn’t worth it. And back inside, Jason’s confirming a new sous-chef to arrive in three days. Maybe it’ll be a guy you can have a good time with! Or maybe he’s right there in front of you – the chemistry with Johnny could be something special.

Tzarina reads up on the new sous-chef

Alesia Harris – very much a female, sorry Tzarina – is the new sous-chef headed to Katina. Jason says she “understands that it is gonna be cleaning and trying to support you.” Let’s hope she’ll stick around for the entire season, rather than just a few days.

The guests arrive, and look ready to party. They’re given a tour, before the drinks start flowing, and the yacht departs the dock. The deck team do a great job, despite Wihan’s mind being elsewhere. “How do I tell Adair I like her?” he asks Harry. I love that cheeky Harry is now the go-to for advice about talking to women. Wihan’s confidence took a few knocks when he lost out on a shot with Bri, and he’s now the underdog. Ever the wise man, Harry advises that charter is not the time. “But I need to plan these things,” Wihan protests, as my eyes roll further back.

In the galley, Tzarina recognizes the guests may be “picky,” as they have a restaurant background. She’s hoping to knock it out of the park, despite being a party of one right now. The guests warn she’s dealing with some restaurateurs, but she seems up for the challenge. Let’s hope Marina’s flirting with Wihan doesn’t throw her off her game.

As the lunch comes up, the guests look impressed, not only by how it looks, but how it tastes. They wolf it down, then get ready for the beach, which will include some mermaid antics, for whatever reason.

Life’s a beach

As the guests go to the beach, Lara picks up on some mess up on the sundeck. She calls Wihan to chat, and gives him a little bit of a dressing down. “Just maybe have a checklist to clarify … this stuff needs to be done.” He seems receptive, but as he leaves the room, he’s pissed. “It’s gonna become a problem,” he warns the seven seas. Yes, Wihan, I’m sure it will; but you could avoid that by focusing on your job instead of which female crew member you want to smooch next.

Jason’s helping out in the galley, while Wihan’s trying to make his list. Again, he’s going to Harry for advice; and Harry thinks it’s strange. “You’re the bosun for a reason, you make the list,” he says in confessional. Is Wihan a little out of his league? I’m beginning to think so.

At the beach, Johnny’s concentrating on making sure the women are having the “time of their lives.” He’s engaging in a photoshoot, both mermaid and human – the latter goes better than the former, which results in sloppy makeup and hilarious pictures.

Then, as Lara and Bri catch up with the guests back on the yacht, Lara tells them Bri almost has a boyfriend. Cue Harry walking in, right on time. “Are you gonna invite her to Australia?” they ask of him. “Maybe!” he replies, clearly joking. But Bri didn’t like that answer. Lara reassures her that he’s “already booked your flight.” Sadly, Bri thinks he’s playing “mind games.” NOT THIS. Bri’s past has her being too sensitive.

Silver and pearls

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 5

The theme for the night is silver and pearls, to celebrate how long the guests have known one another. “I wanna make this over the top and as glam as possible,” Lara says. “I need to make sure everything is perfect for them.”

Johnny’s doing his best to help out wherever he can, whether that’s in his role as deckhand, or with the stews; or even in the galley. When Lara says he’s no longer needed to help decorate, he heads to Tzarina. “How can I be of use?” He’s being such a sweetheart; a far cry from the angry man we see punching the cabin wall in the trailer for the season.

The crew are getting dressed up in silver to help celebrate, and of course Marina volunteers as tribute to help Wihan with his facial jewels. Bri points out that the bosun is just loving the attention, and he’s getting it from all angles.

Up top, the guests are ready to eat. They have a mushroom truffle risotto to start, which has Wihan professing his love for Tzarina’s food. “Did you say you loved me?” she asks him. “That too,” comes his response. STAY AWAY FROM HER.

The starter’s also a hit with the guests, who will enjoy a surf ‘n’ turf for their main. But before that, the deck team are sat lounging on the guest sofas. Lara instructs them to head to the crew mess, but Wihan is complaining. His feet are sore, and he wants to rest instead of running up and down. “It’s too much,” he whines to Johnny and Harry. “Someone has to address these f*cking problems.”

Wihan, when the captain himself is helping wherever he can, you have no ground to stand on. Shape up, or ship out. Literally.

Food is sent back to the kitchen

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 5

The surf ‘n’ turf arrives, but one guest complains that their meat is too raw. A second feels the same, and then a third. “This steak is so nice when it’s not overcooked,” Tzarina laments. But then a fourth plate is ran back. Tzarina is serving the steak “how it’s meant to be eaten,” and Jason agrees it shouldn’t be destroyed. I’m glad he’s there to recognize Tzarina knows what she’s doing; these guests are just picky.

As the coconut and pineapple Malibu cake arrives, the guests find their smiles once more. “This is really delicious,” they say before heading to bed.

With Harry and Bri cleaning up, Bri throws some “maybe” shade. Harry talks it off perfectly, then plants another kiss on his lady. “I’ve been waiting for that all day,” he says. She feels the same – and we’re back! Phew. But Harry’s mouth is catching up to him elsewhere.

He told Lara that Wihan used to work in a bar, taking off his clothes for the delights of gay men. King moves. But then he realizes Wihan probably doesn’t want people to know that. When Tzarina finds out, she says she’s going to ask to see some of his moves on a night out; but Marina’s in earshot and says she’ll have to “fight.”

Tzarina finds that “cute,” while Marina says there’s “no competition.” And Adair’s just cleaning the scraps of food out of her teeth. Wihan should probably put his focus elsewhere, because Adair seems to just want to put her effort into working hard this season.

There’s another jet ski issue, but Harry’s thumb is safe

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 5

“I might see if a masseuse might come to the boat for me,” Tzarina says to Wihan in the galley the next morning. “I’m a good masseuse,” he offers up. This flirting is outrageous. “I would rather not get into a fight with a certain Brazilian person on board,” Tzarina responds. “She put her foot down with me.”

Wihan says he likes that Marina asked him out for a drink, but she’s not his “girlfriend.” He seems shocked Marina is acting so possessive; and she’s mad he didn’t look her in the eyes the day before. Messy.

The guests want to take part in water activities, but there might be a jet ski leak. With one of the ladies on board unable to swim, this could go badly. Wihan thinks the problem spotted by Adair and Johnny on the jet ski isn’t a big deal. Johnny says it feels “dangerous,” but Wihan pushes back. They’re gonna give it a try.

India, the guest who can’t swim, is “very scared.” She climbs aboard a jet ski with Johnny, which just so happens to be the one Adair thought might be faulty. As they try to have fun, the jet ski begins to flip over. India is screaming for her life in the shallow waters; this isn’t good. We’ll find out what happens in next week’s episode, but something tells me Wihan’s in big, big trouble.

Below Deck Down Under continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 4 was one for the books. With sous-chef Anthony told to pack up his knives and leave, Tzarina was left as a party of one in the galley. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew had to continue to learn how to gel with each other if they were going to make the rest of this charter season a success. All of that and more in this week’s recap for BDDU Season 3, Episode 4: “Kiss and Don’t Tell.”

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 4?

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 4

In Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 4, the crew were down a sous-chef, but Harry made his return to the job with semi-good news. Tzarina and Wihan share a kiss, but Marina also makes her move on the bosun. Harry and Bri go on their first official date, and we might actually have a boatmance worth rooting for this season.

Anthony’s fired before Harry makes his return

Thankfully, last week’s cliffhanger wasn’t a red herring. Arrogant Anthony really is being thrown off the yacht. Captain Jason’s had enough of the attitude. Now, Tzarina has to “kick into gear” and get everything done. It’s going to be a tricky task, but we’ve seen her rise to the occasion in the past. Hopefully, another sous-chef can be found to help her out; and fingers crossed they’ll be one willing to work with Tzarina, rather than against her.

Brianna visits Tzarina in the galley, and she’s worried about Harry. He’s been sent for some check ups on his thumb after it was crushed in bloody scenes last week. “I was really looking forward to getting to know him. I just don’t know if that’s even gonna be possible,” Bri says, before offering her help to Tzarina. I like Bri; she’s one of the nicest stews we’ve had on the Below Deck franchise. I really hope she doesn’t change my mind on that one!

Meanwhile, the primary charter guest is in a Zoom call with a bunch of clients. He’s preaching about how men should act, and our shady BDDU editors then cut to some of the female guests calling him “judgy,” but acknowledging that he’s the reason they’re enjoying this trip. Captain Jason then takes some of their guests for their diving excursion, with stewardess Marina.

Lara’s pissed at Wihan for giving Marina permission to go diving. That’s a decision she should be making as chief stew; he should stick to his role as bosun. Luckily, there’s a distraction – Harry’s returned with good news! His thumb isn’t fractured. Our favorite cheeky Aussie just needs to take it easy and not use his hand at all for a few days. It’s gonna be tough.

Brianna is “confused” about her kiss with Harry

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 4

Bri is second-guessing everything that happened with Harry. He hasn’t brought up the kiss in casual conversation, so now she’s wondering if he meant to do it at all. Speaking to Lara, she admits she doesn’t know what to think.

“He’s obsessed with you,” Lara assures Bri. She looks shocked; bless her heart! She still wants Harry to take the lead here. He went in for the kiss, so I understand why. But, if this is really something she wants to make happen, she can also throw out a line and see if he bites.

Over in the galley, Tzarina is prepping a menu for casino night. Captain Jason is eating with the guests, and Tzarina has a lot of “anxiety going on right now.” She’s starting to question if she “totally f*cked up” by losing Anthony mid-charter. Truthfully, that would have happened at one point or another. Better to cut the dead weight when the opportunity presented itself.

Harry checks in with Jason, who’s putting the feelers out for a new deckhand, just in case he has to make a replacement. He promises he’s going to do his best, injured hand be damned. I just hope he doesn’t push himself too far; that would be extremely detrimental.

As dinner starts, with Jason also at the table, the guests are already complaining about the heat. They’re decked to the nines in smart attire, but it’s causing them sweaty anguish. And the food? Well…

Tzarina’s food causes a little concern

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 4

Tzarina kicks things off with a French onion soup, with truffle and parmesan toastie included. “Pretty heavy,” one of the guests note. Not exactly what they want to be eating in such hot circumstances. I personally think it looks delicious.

As she preps the main, Wihan gets shirtless alongside the rest of the deck crew for a sexy service, and Tzarina’s all a fluster. “You’ve outdone yourself,” Wihan tells her. “I don’t think so honey, but that’s very sweet of you to say so we should probably just get married soon,” she replies. That’s the banter we love from Tzarina!

“We’re in an alpha-less, testosterone-less society of weak men,” one of the guests say as their main course arrives. If my eyes could roll any further into the back of my skull…

The filet mignon comes with dauphinoise potatoes, carrot puree and parmesan crisp. “I love that,” says one of the guests, and Jason is almost impressed. He thinks it’s a seven out of 10.

Finishing up, he visits Tzarina in the galley and gives some constructive feedback. “I hate that Jason’s right,” Tzarina admits in confessional. “It’s not my best meal. After having Anthony constantly question my food … this is not how I wanted tonight to go at all.” She’ll get there – it’s been a long day.

Harry though? He’s ready to talk. He asks Bri if she had a good night when they kissed, and then asks her out on a cute picnic date during turnover day. He seals the deal with ANOTHER kiss, and the pair can’t stop smiling. So here for it!

“I thought he was ghosting me!” Bri says in confessional. Never that, Bri. He’s just been working himself up to talk!

Wihan wants a double date

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 4

After thinking he had chemistry with Bri, but Harry beating him to the punch, Wihan is on the prowl. When Harry tells him about his planned date, Wihan wants to make it a double. The only problem? He’s not sure who he wants to invite…

“I’m still looking for love. Tzarina is an awesome girl … I do like that Marina is very forward … Adair strikes me to be a little bit spunky … Lara is a real-life Barbie, so – lots and lots of trouble!” Stop trying to force it, Wihan! This is only going to work if it’s a natural connection.

The next day of charter arrives, and Tzarina is already describing herself as a “grumpy c***.” Thankfully, breakfast service goes off without a hitch, including some great protein boards for the fitness-focused guests. The primary is preaching about how women should love men, and I’m joining Lara in celebrating it being drop-off day.

Captain Jason gives Tzarina some advice on building a brunch, but she doesn’t see what he’s saying as support. He then catches her bitching about him to Lara, which leads to a bit of a heated confrontation, and tears from our head chef. I want to leap through the screen and give her a big hug – this is all just crossed wires.

Jason should cut Tzarina a tiny bit of slack here; she’s putting a lot of pressure on herself now she’s alone again. All she wants is for everybody to be happy. And Jason’s delivery probably could have been a bit better. I’m sure Tzarina will be apologizing to the good captain before the day’s out. Here’s hoping they’re back on the same page ASAP.

Zero toxic traits

“There’s not one toxic trait on this crew. You guys are all incredible. You’re gonna inspire the world,” our primary says upon his departure. And as he gets to his taxi, he adds, “one of the best exit speeches on Earth just happened.” Hilariously, editors cut most of it out. Maybe next time, Matty boy.

In the tip meeting, Jason tells Tzarina she’ll likely be solo in the galley for at least the next charter. In front of the entire crew, she apologizes to her captain. It’s for reasons like this that she remains one of my favorite Below Deck cast members in the entire franchise. Accountability!

The guests left a tip of $22,000, which amounts to $1,830 per crew member, because Anthony’s not going to see a cent of it. He would also be wearing the helmet of shame, so Jason’s not handing it out this time around.

As the crew get ready for the night out, Wihan catches Tzarina in her bra. “That’s nice,” he tells her, pointing to her sparkles. She looks shy, and I’m willing her to STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN. Not that I can blame her; he does seem incredibly charming. Marina’s also feeling him, and hoping to get to know the bosun a little better.

At dinner, the flirting continues. Tzarina reveals she’s “only ever been cheated on by South Africans,” so Wihan reminds her that he’s half-Dutch. Johnny shows some family photos to Marina and opens up about his relationship with his parents (loves his mum; seems to hold some bad feelings towards his dad, and for good reason), while Harry continues to bond with Bri.

Back at the yacht, it’s time to hop into the hot tub. But Tzarina’s already hopped somewhere else; into a budgie smuggler-wearing Wihan’s arms! Up top, Tzarina introduces a game of Truth or Dare. Lara’s already feeling awkward, and it might be about to get even more intense as Wihan is dared to kiss Tzarina. They play a round of tonsil tennis, while Marina remains blissfully unaware in her cabin.

Johnny takes a dare, and is challenged to do a “sexy strip dance on Tzarina.” Cut to his crotch being rubbed in her face. Lara’s not impressed, but this is all on her. She’s the one who came up with the dare!

As Bri wishes Harry goodnight, the pair enjoy their third kiss, much to the joy of the rest of the crew. Now, it’s time for bed. A very “eye-opening” evening indeed.

“The lips are perfect. I want them all over my body right now,” Tzarina tells Lara and Bri. Wihan also enjoyed the pash. Let’s see how this goes…

The next morning, Harry asks Jason’s permission to go out on a date with Bri. “You’ve got my blessing. May the force be with you, my friend.” Jason even helps Harry out with his outfit later on. “Put some linen on him, nice shoes. That’s what dads are for, you know?”

In the galley, Tzarina immediately addresses her kiss with Wihan. “I have a little bit of a crush,” she admits. “I haven’t had a meaningful relationship in years.” This is definitely one to keep an eye on.

When Marina finds out the pair kissed, she calls them an “unexpected match.” Something tells me she’ll still pursue the man she wants.

“How was it?” Marina asks Wihan. “She’s a good kisser,” he says. Meanwhile, Tzarina’s getting a massage from Johnny, who calls her a “sexy beast.” All of these relationships dynamics are throwing me for a loop! And now, Marina’s set a date out with Wihan! Is this still Below Deck Down Under, or have we moved onto Love Island?

Bri and Harry’s ice cream date is ADORABLE. Even when he tries to feed Bri from his spoon, before wiping the ice cream on her nose. Just perfect.

“Harry’s energy is just so nice and caring. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. I really haven’t felt giddy since my ex. He just makes me feel so special,” Bri says in confessional. Back at the yacht, the pair tell their friends about how much they enjoyed their date. I’m SO into this working out!

Marina and Wihan get ready for their own date, and it seems Tzarina isn’t privy to what’s going on. It might be pouring down with rain, but the two seem to enjoy themselves. “I’m so glad you asked me to come,” Wihan tells Marina. Then, she opens up about how she liked him calling the shots in regards to her going out diving. Marina’s made Wihan a necklace, and the two then share a kiss.

Back in the crew mess, Harry breaks the news about Wihan and Marina’s date to Tzarina. The anxiety kicks in, and Tzarina admits, “My brain is cooked, I can’t do this tonight.”

“Backstabbing b*tch,” she comments, before going into her cabin. That went well…

Below Deck Down Under continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 3 has arrived, and it’s already clear this season will be packed full of mayhem. The chaos is going into overdrive, as proven last week, and shows no signs of slowing down. Here’s everything that went down during Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 3: “Walking On Eggshells.”

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 3?

In Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 3, there was a shock kiss, a new group of charter guests, and a brutal injury. Not only that, but Captain Jason took matters into his own hands when it came to the bickering in the galley; especially when Anthony decided to try and position himself as the leader of the ship. Here’s a detailed rundown of all that, and more…

Tzarina is tired of Anthony’s complaining

We pick up where we left off. Anthony was caught bitching about Tzarina at the first crew dinner, and she’s left the table for a cigarette. “This is really upsetting me because it’s the complete opposite of what I thought me and Anthony would be like,” she explains in confessional. “F*cking ridiculous.” To Tzarina’s credit, she took the bad energy away from the table, expelled it, and then brought the group together to move onto the club.

In the car ride over, boys and girls separate, and start talking about their crushes. Wihan likes Bri; Johnny jokes that he fancies Harry; and Tzarina admits she found Wihan instantly attractive. We already know how Harry feels about Bri, and she calls his personality “out of this world.” Basically, there’s a lot of room for boatmances this season; which also means a lot of room for messy love triangles, squares, and any other shapes you can think of.

As we move into the club, Harry’s putting on the moves with Bri. They’re dancing and – OH HEAVENS WHAT IS THIS? Harry’s gone in for the kiss! And Bri’s reciprocated! I didn’t think the cheeky Aussie had it in him. I’m very happy to be proven wrong. What a legend.

“She does not belong with that man,” Wihan laughs in confessional. “Was there some tongue involved?” he asks Harry in the car back to the yacht. Everybody’s impressed with his game, and like a true gent, he doesn’t push any further that same night. Green flag central.

Harry and Bri’s kiss is the talk of the town

It’s the next day, and as the crew prepare for their second charter, Marina’s got eyes for a shirtless Wihan. “My plan here is just to work,” she says. “But, I’m human, I’m a woman, so who knows? I can have my fun.”

Meanwhile, Harry and Bri bump into one another in the crew mess. It doesn’t seem awkward, which is a good sign. Tzarina and Lara fill Captain Jason in on the kiss, and Wihan asks Bri about it when Harry’s out of earshot. “Harry kissed me,” she clarifies, but remembers to add: “I kissed him back … I really like his personality. I need to, kinda get to know him.”

Wihan’s a little stressed, but ready to move on. He’s going to see if there’s any chemistry with any of the other women. A good attitude to have; especially when the man who kissed the woman he was interested in is a part of his team. It’s refreshing to see this dynamic.

Captain Jason recognizes Tzarina’s struggle, but points out that she needs to take charge. Hopefully, Anthony can fall in line and be a little more respectful in his interactions.

In confessional, Bri opens up about her past. She met her ex, who was from Amsterdam, while working. After six months, they were engaged; he wanted to move to the US to start a new life there. “At that point in my life, I didn’t want to be confined to Jersey housewife status,” Bri explains. Thus, that relationship came to a close.

Over in the preference sheet meeting, Captain Jason reveals a handsome chap named Erik Rock as the primary charter guest. He wants a beach set up, and some local cuisine on the menu. Seems simple enough!

Tzarina tries to put her best foot forward

“My mind has been racing so hard about how I’m meant to manage Anthony to make him do what his job is and what I need him to do,” Tzarina interviews. “It’s early in the charter season and I want Jason to see that I can manage my own department, and I’m gonna make sure that Anthony and I are better than we have been.” As she communicates what the guests want with her sous, there are signs of them getting along a little better. But let’s wait until the pressure’s on to see if it lasts.

Oh wait – it’s not gonna take that long. Anthony is already complaining because he’s putting away provisions while Tzarina works on menus. “I just wanna work as a team, is it that hard?” he asks in confessional. And then he decides to confront Tzarina in-person.

“If I’m doing quite a lot of guest food, would it be alright to have a little hand putting deliveries away and sh*t?” he asks. “I just don’t want it to get to the point where it’s like [me] doing cleaning, deliveries, and then guest food as well – and then crew food. I don’t wanna suffer a little bit of a burnout just yet.”

To alleviate his concerns, Tzarina asks if canopies should be given to the stew team. “No, because I’m more than happy to work,” he hits back. Tzarina simply cannot win. “Sorry for being so … neurotic,” Anthony adds. Little does he know, Captain Jason can hear every word.

Anthony then rings his friend to complain, before texting another: “Do you know of any boats hiring? I don’t think it’s working for me here.” If that’s his attitude, he can leave.

A “very cool” group of charter guests arrive

“Permission to come aboard?” Erik says upon his arrival. He and his friends seem to be a group of people that are confident in themselves, and know what they want. This charter could go either way.

Showing off the rooms, two of which come with a balcony, Lara radios for Wihan to put them back up so the yacht can undock. But Wihan has left his radio on his bed while he’s using the bathroom, so the message doesn’t get through. Now Jason is pissed, because the departure time is delayed as the wind is coming up.

“Lara and Wihan should be communicating about this,” Jason says in confessional. “I’m trying to get off the dock.” Wihan has an attitude, and Lara takes it on the chin. I’m starting to feel a little sorry for our new chief stew!

Over in the galley, Tzarina’s entrusting Anthony with the octopus for tonight’s menu. He says he’s up to the job, so now is his chance to prove himself. But while preparing, Tzarina calls the octopus tentacles “legs,” and he jabs at her for it. “Wow, this is gonna be perfect,” Anthony adds. It better be, because Tzarina’s now working on the crew dinner instead of that for the guests.

He’s then sent to the beach with canopies, and takes more shots at Tzarina’s “basic” food in confessional. The ego on this kid is undeniable.

A huge swell spells danger for Harry

While the guests are at the beach, the deck team work on putting the water toys away. One jet ski in particular, while hooked up to the yacht, causes concern. While on top of it, Harry makes a comment about the swell, which quickly comes back to bite him. Through screams of pain he asks for the ski to be given some slack. And as Jason saves him, rushing him to the medic, his thumb is a mangled and grisly sight. There’s blood everywhere, and at the very least, Harry’s nail is ripped clean off. His thumb has been “completely crushed.”

As he’s being treated in the crew mess, Harry is told that he could get a staph infection from the ocean water due to the loss of his nail. While efforts will be made to cover it, he has to be “very mindful about using it.” Not good news at all for a deckhand. And if he has any further pain, he might have to have an x-ray.

“I’m praying that it’s not fractured,” Wihan says. He’s worried about the knock-on effect for the deck team.

They’re not the only ones having trouble. Anthony has made a mistake in the galley with his “perfect” octopus. “The bag split, all the hot water got in and boiled it. They’ve shrunk quite a lot.”

“I was an arrogant sous-chef years ago,” Tzarina admits. “I worked under a head chef that really humbled me. It took five years to get his respect. I’ve done the grunt work, so I expect my sous-chef to do the same as well … he isn’t as good as he thinks.”

Thankfully, Tzarina’s experience means she can adapt.

Anthony’s ready to pack up his knives and go

It’s time for dinner, and hopefully the guests can enjoy their food in-between positive affirmations. They seem to enjoy what’s served up, while Johnny is ready to “step up” and put in harder graft on deck to help through Harry’s injury.

In the galley, Wihan asks if Tzarina or Anthony have rested, to which they respond in the negative. “How are we gonna work around that?” Wihan quizzes.

“It will be possible. Like I said to Ant yesterday, he can go to the beach, or just let the stews set up the canopies and lie down for two hours,” Tzarina explains.

“I’m not complaining … it’s always on me innit?” the youngster fires back. “No, I didn’t say that,” a puzzled Tzarina responds. “Is that how you feel?”

Once again, Jason can hear every word.

In confessional, Anthony goes in. “At this point I’m just a bit over it. Tzarina’s not a great manager and if I’m honest, I don’t respect her as a chef, and I don’t feel like I’m being treated like a human. So, I’m ready at this point to leave, ‘cause I can’t take anymore of this bullsh*t.” Don’t let the galley door hit you on the way out, Ant.

In the laundry, Marina’s visited by Wihan. He offers her a place to go diving with the guests, and she’s over the moon.

“There’s a lot of tension happening in the galley,” Tzarina admits to her captain. “He won’t let me manage him at all … he’s literally managing himself.”

“If it’s not managing for you, why don’t you just move on?” Jason asks. He feels “disrespect” from Anthony, and thinks that a change of sous-chef may be appropriate.

Harry can’t sleep through his pain

It’s the early hours of the morning, and Harry is struggling. “This season could be over for me before it even starts,” he says. His thumb is throbbing with pain, which means there may be an infection or fracture. And though he’s doing his best to get on with the job, it’s not something he can ignore forever.

Jason gets Harry off to the hospital, hopeful that he can keep him on board. He’s someone whose energy is infectious, and Jason recognizes that is as important for the crew as a hard worker. In some ways, he is the glue holding many people together. But if there is a break, he might have to be cut loose so a new deckhand can come aboard. Fingers crossed it won’t come to that.

Still, Jason fires off a text. He wants a deckhand to be available if necessary.

Time to say goodbye

In the galley, Anthony gets a text. “Job confirmed,” says a contact called Chef Dean. “Amazing, I can probably be out of here in a charter or two,” Anthony responds. Do we really have to wait that long? Sigh.

“I have a bit of news to tell you,” Anthony tells Tzarina. “I’ve been offered another job, so I’m probably gonna take that. So, I’m gonna do this charter, then the one after, then that’s … out.”

For some reason, he’s not told Jason first. Tzarina breaks the news, and would prefer Anthony go immediately.

“He has a job … he’s leaving on his terms,” Jason says, completely astonished. “Let’s go get things sorted out.” Time to get the sous-chef fired, Capt!

“You can go today, this morning. Pack your stuff up there. It’s just the way I operate.” And that’s why we love Captain Jason.

See you next week!
