Another day, another reduction in Jen Shah’s prison sentence. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star must be on her best behavior behind bars because she keeps getting time taken off of her stay. Originally, Jen’s release date was set for 2029. Now, she’s set to come home in 2026, and it just so happens to land on a very special day.

When does Jen Shah get out of prison?

Jen Shah will be released from prison on October 4, 2026. It’s another small reduction in her time to serve, after it was revealed last year she would be home before Thanksgiving 2026, with a November release date.

So, what’s so special about this release date? October 4 just so happens to be Jen’s birthday! She’ll turn 52 on the day of her release unless the feds decide to take even more time off of her sentence. All things considered, we think that’s some pretty Shahmazing news from the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate database.

While Jen awaits her release, she’s been staying busy behind bars. She quickly became buddies with Elizabeth Holmes, the “founder” of the failed blood testing company. Plus, she’s been receiving letters of support from Mob Wives star Renee Graziano. She’s got some good people in her corner.

Jen has also been staying in touch with the outside world, including one of her RHOSLC castmates. Last year, Meredith Marks revealed that she spoke to Jen on the phone. She said she felt “happy to hear her voice again.”

Meanwhile, Lisa Barlow has made several remarks seemingly blowing off the severity of Jen’s prison sentence. Most recently, she claimed that Season 5 newbie Bronwyn Newport was “probably worse” than Jen.

With that in mind, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more updates on Jen’s release date. At this rate, the Bravo cameras might be ready to pick up right where they left off.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is streaming on Peacock.

I never thought I’d see three Real Housewives serving time behind bars in my lifetime. But here we are. The Bravoverse is getting ready to send another reality TV star off to jail for crimes that could have been avoided. Bravo, like ancient Greece, has the Big Three. Instead of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, we have Karen Huger, Jen Shah, and Teresa Giudice. All thought they were higher than the law, but in the end, they all ended up serving time.

Karen Huger is doing hard time

The Grande Dame, aka Karen, was sentenced to two years in prison but will only end up serving one year. After the prosecution revealed that she had three earlier DUIs, fans knew it would be an uphill battle for the Real Housewives of Potomac star. In March 2024, Karen crashed her Maserati into a tree, luckily not hurting anyone. On December 19 On Dec. 19, the 61-year-old was found guilty of DUI, negligent driving, failure to control speed to avoid a collision, and failure to notify of a change in address but was acquitted of reckless driving.

After her time in jail, Karen will be on a five-year probation. The Bravoleb is also required to pay a fine of $2,900. Once released, Karen is not allowed to drive for one year, and when she can, she will need to have a car breathalyzer. The body camera footage that was shown in court didn’t help Karen’s defense. She can be heard saying, “Oh God. I’m lit,” and that she was “Thomas Jefferson’s concubine.” Karen has yet to speak out but fans can only assume she will be giving updates from her small cell. She will serve her time at Montgomery County Corrections.

Teresa Giudice filmed her homecoming

The OG of the Real Housewives of New Jersey was the first big name to spend time behind bars. Teresa ended up serving 11 months in prison for fraud back in 2015. Tre and Joe Giudice were convicted of conspiracy, bankruptcy fraud, and tax offenses. The former couple were also accused of submitting fraudulent loan applications, lying about their income, and concealing assets. Teresa was locked up in Danbury Federal Correctional Institution in Connecticut but was released on December 23, 2015.

Once out of jail, the Bravo cameras picked right back up as if they didn’t miss a beat. Viewers learned that her time in jail was the most devastating in the mother of four’s entire life. She shared with cameras, “I really thought nothing was going to happen, and when I was in court and when the judge said I was going to jail, I was like, ‘What!?'” Joe and Teresa were ordered to pay $414,588 in restitution. The court allowed the couple to stagger their sentences so one parent could stay with their children back in New Jersey. Joe served 41 months and then was deported back to his country of Italy.

Jen Shah tried to fight the law, but the law won. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star lied to everyone for years about her wealth. When the feds finally decided to make a move in 2021, she tried to outrun them after getting a heads-up in the Sprinter van. The mother of two was first charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering. It was revealed that Jen had been running a telemarketing scheme that had targeted elderly people.

In July 2022, after months of claiming she was innocent, Jen changed her tune. She walked into court and changed her plea from not guilty to guilty. This move cut 20 years off of her maximum prison sentence. In January 2023, she was given six and a half years behind bars and five years of supervised release. She has been spending her time at Bryan Federal Camp in Bryan, Texas. There she has started a workout class and has been tutoring other inmates. Her sentence has already been reduced three times. She is expected to be released in November 2026.

The Real Housewives of Potomac is available to stream on Peacock.

Most couples wouldn’t survive a multi-year prison sentence. Fortunately, Jen Shah and Sharrieff Shah aren’t like most couples. Although the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star spent another Valentine’s Day behind bars, she somehow got access to Instagram to share an adorable message to her husband. According to Jen, or whoever has access to her Instagram, the love between the Shahs is stronger than ever. The justice system can’t keep them down!

Jen and Sharrieff have been married since 1994, so you know they have had some extravagant Valentine’s Day celebrations over the years. However, the holiday hasn’t been the same since Jen got sentenced to over six years in prison for fraud. Last week marked the third Valentine’s Day that Jen has spent behind bars, but this year, she managed to make a public display of affection.

“Happy Valentine’s Day and happiest birthday to my amazing husband,” Jen wrote on Instagram.

“Even from miles away, my love and gratitude for you are stronger than ever,” she continued. “Thank you for sticking by my side and never letting go of my hand. I Love you, Jen.”

The sweet message is just the latest example of the couple showing a united front while Jen serves her sentence. Last year, they came together to shoot down rumors that Coach Shah tried to kiss Monica Garcia. The supposed Good Time Girl, Heather Gay, wrote all about it in her book, but the couple issued a joint statement denying all of it.

Before that, Coach Shah had been laying low and staying out of the spotlight. He turned down an offer to appear on RHOSLC Season 4, and we assume he’s eagerly awaiting his wife’s return. If all goes well, he’ll only have to spend two more Valentine’s Days without her. Her release date was recently pushed up to December 19, 2027.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 has come to an end, and we’re already missing our messy snowflake holders. The last episode of the three-part reunion continued to deliver when it came to unpacking the drama. Of course, the ladies discussed the dramatic table text read during the finale and beyond. Meredith Marks, in particular, revealed some shocking news.

During Part 3 of RHOSLC’s reunion, Meredith revealed that she received a call from Jen Shah from prison. “It was very brief, she called me. Well, obviously I can’t call her,” Meredith said. Obviously, her co-stars had a lot to say.

Whitney Rose didn’t understand how that wasn’t just as bad, if not worse, than her reaching out to Monica Garcia. “I didn’t seek Jen out to dig dirt on my friends. Jen called me from prison after she’s taken accountability, served time and is paying restitution,” Meredith added. However, Whitney and other stars like Mary Cosby did not agree.

When Whitney said that Jen traumatized the RHOSLC cast more than Monica, Mary chimed in to agree. “If Jen Shah called me, I would not accept her call. She tormented us,” Mary said.

Meredith asked what to do moving forward with Jen, and Mary thinks she needs to stay far away. “She lied,” Mary said. “She really mistreated your kids. And you.”

Meredith agreed but asked if there are no second chances in life. Mary believes there are – just not in Jen’s case. “Some people just go too far and she’s one of them. She lied all the way up to the day she couldn’t,” Mary said.

It doesn’t seem like anyone from this crew will be joining Meredith for Jen’s welcome home party after her prison sentence.

Although Jen Shah is in prison for scamming elderly people, Lisa Barlow seems to think that Bronwyn Newport could be worse. It’s an odd comparison, but it’s just the latest attempt by the ladies of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City to try to downplay Jen’s crimes, and we’re over here a little puzzled about how we got here.

Of course, we’re not afraid to admit that Bronwyn has made some rookie mistakes in Season 5. She started strong by showing up in her first scene in that YSL coat, but as the season progressed, things slowly went off the rails.

Is she on the same level as a felonious fraudster? We’re not sure about that…

Lisa Barlow thinks Bronwyn Newport is a “snake”

In the first part of the RHOSLC Season 5 reunion, we watched Bronwyn and Lisa clash over that silly diamond necklace. Clearly, Lisa is still not over it. When Bravo posted a clip from the reunion to X, formerly Twitter, the Queen of Sundance spent two days going back and forth with fans in the replies.

Throughout the comments, Lisa went on and on, claiming to have receipts to back up her side of the story. At one point, a fan told Lisa that she was “no better” than Jen. That’s when Lisa chimed in with a comparison of her own.

“Yes, she is a snake and no better than Jen actually probably worse lying to people hurting people making up stuff that didn’t happen. It’s pretty sh*tty,” Lisa wrote regarding Bronwyn.

Like clockwork, Lisa’s followers chimed in to explain to her that stealing from elderly people isn’t nearly as bad as getting caught in a lie during your rookie season of Housewives.

One user wrote, “Sorry, did I miss the episode where Bronwyn steals millions of dollars from elderly people and lets her mom drain her retirement to pay for legal fees?”

Another RHOSLC fan added, “The way you are minimizing Jen Shah and her crimes says a lot about you. You’re comparing Jen Shah stealing thousands of elders’ retirement funds and scamming innocent people to someone not buying jewelry. Birds of a feather…”

Notably, this isn’t the first time that Lisa has tried to downplay Jen’s crimes. Last year, she claimed that she’d rather have the convicted felon return to RHOSLC over Monica Garcia. She also claimed that Jen was “harmless” as long as you aren’t elderly.

This trend of softening up on Jen comes as she continues getting time shaved off from her prison sentence. The latest update suggests that she’ll be home by Thanksgiving 2026. Lisa must be thrilled.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.

Followers of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City thought it would be six and half years before they heard from Jen Shah again. However, that is not the case. After another prison reduction, the convicted felon will be home in time for the 2026 holidays.

Jen Shah has done her time … right?

Page Six recently confirmed that she will be spending Thanksgiving 2026 beside her husband and two sons. According to the prison database at Bryan Federal Prison Camp, Jen’s new release date reads as November 3, 2026. This is the third time that Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star’s sentence has been reduced. Followers will recall that Jen pleaded guilty in July 2022 to defrauding the elderly in a decade-long telemarketing scheme.

At the time of her sentencing, she apologized, telling the judge that the wire fraud offered “services with little to no value. We used interstate telephones and emails. I knew many of the purchasers were over the age of 55. I am so sorry.” It has been revealed that Jen is a model prisoner. The mother of two has seemingly put aside her bratty ways in order to help out her fellow inmates.

Jen Shah is working on herself

Jen shared that she has been concentrating on bettering herself “Through journaling, homework, audio lessons, and the two-hour weekly group sessions/class.”
The Bravoleb added, “I learned more about what anger is, where it comes from, and healthy ways to respond and react that are safe and beneficial.” While in prison, Jen has offered to teach Jane Fonda-like classes, including abs and HIT cardio. Jen’s manager also told the news outlet that she has been volunteering. “Jen has been mentoring and tutoring the other inmates and participating in anger management courses.”

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, an inmate can incur up to 54 days of “good conduct time” off each year of their sentence. Jen can also earn additional time off by completing “Evidence-Based Recidivism Reduction” programs. Before fans know it, Jen will be back home enjoying the good life.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is available to stream on Peacock.

Over the years, multiple Real Housewives stars have been placed under arrest. While the network has tried to keep most of its cast free of a rap sheet, sometimes a few fall through the cracks. Thus, below is a recap of which Bravo stars have worn handcuffs and have themselves a mugshot.

The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Karen Huger

On December 18, Karen Huger’s two-day trial came to an end after she was found guilty. The 61-year-old had crashed her Maserati in March and was charged with driving a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and driving while under the influence of alcohol. She also was booked with negligently driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, endangering property, life, and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle in wanton and willful disregard for the safety of persons and property. Karen was found guilty on all charges except reckless driving. The Real Housewives of Potomac star is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 29.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Jen Shah

Jen Shah was pulled over on the side of the road while filming Season 3 and arrested in 2021. Consequently. she was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and conspiracy to commit money laundering. In a press release by Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss, fans learned, “Jennifer Shah, who portrays herself as a wealthy and successful businessperson on ‘reality’ television, and Stuart Smith, who is portrayed as Shah’s ‘first assistant,’ allegedly generated and sold ‘lead lists’ of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam.” Jen was accused of defrauding hundreds of elderly victims. On July 11, 2022, Jen pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six and a half years in jail.

The Real Housewives of New York’s Leah McSweeney

Even though Leah McSweeney is no longer with Bravo, she was arrested back in 2002 after an incident outside Hammerstein Ballroom. She once told People she and her boyfriend had been pulled apart during a kiss. “I felt him being pulled away from me, and there was five police officers beating him up,” recalled Leah. “It was really scary. And I had a half-empty plastic water bottle with me, and I threw it — not even directly at someone; I just threw it in that direction. It was just a total knee-jerk reaction. But it hit a cop in the back.”

The mother of one added, “He turned around and lunged at me and punched me in the face. I just felt so many knees on my back. And one of them slammed my face into the subway grates and knocked my tooth out.” Leah sued the city and was paid $75,000 that she used to start her business, Married to the Mob.

The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gina Kirschenheiter

While going through her divorce with Matt Kirschenheiter, the RHOC’s Gina Kirschenheiter was arrested in February 2019 on drunk driving charges. Just four months later, Matt was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. During the Season 14 episode, Gina told the cameras, “I was really scared. I ran out of the house, and I rang my neighbor’s doorbell, and I was banging on the door. And he dragged me back in the house. A lot of the neighbors heard. They all called the police and then the cops came, they arrested him It was scary. It was really scary.”

The Real Housewives of New York’s Luann de Lesseps

The Bravoverese has never forgotten the day that Luann de Lesseps was arrested in 2017. While in Palm Beach, she reportedly attacked a police officer. The countess was charged with disorderly intoxication, battery on an officer, resisting arrest with violence, and threatening a public servant. Lu avoided any jail time after agreeing to a plea deal. She was also placed on one-year probation and had to complete 50 hours of community service and attend AA meetings.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice

If viewers learned anything from Teresa Giudice, it would be to read everything that is put in front of you. Tre had one of the most serious arrests for the network as she and her ex, Joe Giudice, were indicted on federal fraud charges. In July 2013, both were charged in a 39-count indictment that included conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications, and bankruptcy fraud. In 2014, Teresa was found guilty and sentenced to 15 months behind bars. Joe was given 41 months and deported to Italy after he was released from ICE custody.

The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Shannon Beador

In September 2023, TMZ confirmed that Shannon Beador was arrested by the Newport Beach Police Department “after fleeing the scene from a collision that caused property damage.” The mother of three was booked on two misdemeanors — hit and run and DUI alcohol. The video showed Shannon crashing into a home and trying to flee the scene by pretending to walk her dog, Archie, who was in the car at the time. The Real Housewives of Orange County star was sentenced to three years of probation and 40 hours of community service. The Real for Real founder was also required to complete a nine-month alcohol program. Shannon was also responsible for paying the restitution for the house damage from the incident. Despite all of this, she continues to drink during filming.

The Shah Squad has a new member, and it’s Mob Wives alum Renee Graziano! She’s been writing letters to former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah, who was sentenced to over six years in federal prison for her role in a fraud scheme. Now, we’re over here with so many questions. What do these two have in common, and why is Renee trying to get involved?

Jen Shah has a supportive pen pal in Renee Graziano

Thanks to TMZ, we’ve got all of the details on Jen and Renee’s newfound friendship. It all stems from the fact that they both share a talent manager named Chris Giovanni. He told the outlet that Renee has been writing Jen regularly while she serves her prison sentence. She even shared a picture of the New Year’s card she sent Jen this year.

“Sending you all love and well wishes,” Renee hand-wrote. “There’s a tattoo on my foot that reads ‘the past was only practice’. We learn from our mistakes or someone elses [sic].”

The Mob Wives alum added, “You are by far doing what is right and Allah sees that, so f-ck whatever one else [sic] thinks.”

Honestly, who wouldn’t want to receive a message like that? Allegedly, Jen has loved getting these words of affirmation from her fellow reality TV star and is “deeply” appreciative of the support from the outside. Meanwhile, Renee has a feeling that 2025 will be a big year for her pal in the pen.

“I know 2025 is a brighter and bigger new year for Jen and anyone who can’t find forgiveness isn’t as they say a child of God,” Renee told the outlet.

Considering the circumstances, 2024 wasn’t so bad for Jen either. She got the chance to reconnect with a former RHOSLC costar. Plus, the feds reduced her prison sentence. If all goes as planned, she’ll be free in December 2027.

Jen Shah’s claim to fame was being perhaps the most dramatic Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star. The mother of two was well known for her Shahmazing tantrums that often were targeted at her friends, producers, and even her designer. So when she was arrested on the side of the road by Homeland Security in 2021, no one was really that surprised. What came as a shock was that Jen’s lavish lifestyle had all been a lie and was actually funded by a life of crime. During Season 2, Jen was indicted for her role in a long-running telemarketing scheme. Jen was sentenced to six and a half years in prison, but new details hint that she might be set free in a fraction of the time.

Jen pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud for running a telemarketing scheme that defrauded elderly people out of thousands of dollars. At the time of her hearing, the United States government requested that Jen get ten years behind bars. Consequently, her lawyers had asked for leniency and sought just three years. Until her sentencing, Jen had shown no remorse and maintained her innocence even though she often flaunted her wealth on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. It seemed to viewers that Jen basically couldn’t help herself. Her Season 2 tagline, “The only thing I’m guilty of is being Shah-mazing,” was used against her by the Federal authorities in sentencing papers, claiming it showed proof that she was mocking the system.

The judge handed down a 78-month sentence. Jen’s new home became Bryan Federal Prison Camp. She settled in quickly and also began teaching exercise classes to her fellow inmates, even earning her the nickname “Jen Fonda.” Pictures showed that Jen was still able to wear some jewelry with her khaki uniform, too. It was reported that Jen had started to work as a tutor to other inmates as well.

Stuart Smith was also sentenced

In March 2021, Stuart Smith, Jen’s former assistant, was arrested on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing. It was alleged that he had targeted the elderly. He was also arrested on one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. And one count of obstructing an official proceeding. Stuart was looking at a maximum of 70 years in prison and ended up flipping on Jen, in the end pleading guilty to the charges. At his trial, Stuart told the judge via People that “The services sold were of no value and of no real benefit to the customer.”

The Inner City Press shared on X, it was reported that Stuart had been given nine months behind bars. He will report to jail on January 17, 2025. Presiding Judge Sidney H. Stein noted, “I think some prison time is appropriate.” Stuart spoke on his behalf, calling Jen the “devil.” And added, “It feels like those who arrested me freed me from the devil. I did try to get away from her” and “was thankful for the arrest. I got out from under her thumb.” Judge Stein noted, “It seems Mr. Smith was not entirely an independent actor. So, I am going to be lenient. I sentence you to 9 months incarceration.”

Jen Shah is itching to come home

Due to her good behavior, Jen has already had her release date moved forward three times. The former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star’s release date was 2029. The Bureau of Prisons immediately moved her date forward by one year to August 30, 2028. And then changed it by a month to July 2028. Jen’s records now show her going home in December 2027. Jen has been said to be actively mentoring inmates and participating in anger management classes. Each prisoner is allowed up to 54 days of “good conduct time” off each year of their sentence. And Jen has been racking up those days.

Even though she has been on her best behavior, some Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans feel like she is being let off too easily. If she had been released in 2027, she would have only served a fraction of her sentence. Before long, she will be back in her home, living as if she had never committed a crime. Let’s hope Bravo has the moral decency not to invite her back to the franchise.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Wednesdays on Bravo.

Jen Shah has been behind bars since January 2023. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star was set to spend six-and-a-half years there after pleading guilty for her role in a telemarketing fraud scheme that largely and despicably targeted the elderly.

However, Jen just got another break. She’s seemingly been a model prisoner during her stay at Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas, and her sentence was further reduced. This is at least the third time her release date has been pushed up from its original 2029 date. Shah-mazing news for her! For her victims – probably not so much.

According to federal prison records obtained by The U.S. Sun, Jen’s now set to be released from FPC Bryan on November 19, 2027. This is a month sooner than the previous time her release date was pushed up to December 19, 2027. There wasn’t an explanation for her most recent break, but her last one was due to good behavior.

Her original sentence was supposed to last until sometime in 2029. The first reduction had her freedom scheduled for August 30, 2028.

Jen has continued to be a model prisoner, according to her manager Chris Giovanni. She’s been teaching fitness classes to the likes of other convicts, like Theranos scammer Elizabeth Holmes.

Chris explained, “She created it in prison. It started off as something she was doing to improve her fitness.”

“As she went in, she lost a good amount of weight. She developed the Shah-mazing abs class. All the ladies started coming up to her on the yard and they would do workout segments.”

“Elizabeth [Holmes] attended with other inmates, and it’s become a thing in there. Jen Fonda, that’s her nickname in there.”

Last year, it was revealed that Jen had been helping other inmates as an ESL and GED tutor as part of her attempt to atone for her crimes. She shared, “I am grateful for the opportunity to earn a second chance. I know some people doubt my sincerity and commitment.”

She continued, “I can only control what I do daily and how I prepare for my life after federal prison.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
