Many fans have missed Crystal Kung Minkoff on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, even some who were critical of her time on the show. Somebody who has critiqued her in the past is TV producer Carlos King. In her latest podcast, Humble Brag with Cynthia Bailey, Crystal confronts him about his opinion of her on RHOBH.

Crystal joined RHOBH for three seasons and was often overshadowed for being quiet initially and staying out of the drama. But, for Crystal, that was just her personality. She may have taken a couple of seasons to warm up, but before she could really get going, she announced her departure from the series.

Crystal Kung Minkoff tackles Carlos King’s RHOBH critiques

Now, Crystal is confronting Carlos about his many critiques of her during her time on the show. The former producer joined Crystal and Cynthia to talk about RHOBH, RHOA, and so much more.

“You don’t think I like you?” Carlos asked the former RHOBH star.

“I don’t,” Crystal answered. “You’ve been critical. And now we can talk about it,” she said. Cynthia said that Carlos definitely “extracted some thug out of Crystal.”

Carlos asked Crystal if she thought she could come back to RHOBH now with a vengeance, considering the show and cast members from Season 14, minus Garcelle Beauvais, who also recently announced her departure.

“100%,” Crystal answered. She explained that fans would often say that she didn’t realize how big the show is and that she acts like “it’s very small.” She explained that she didn’t try to act like it’s small; it’s just small to her compared to other things in her life. And she had a good perspective on what’s important.

“It’s (the show) smaller than my life with my husband,” Crystal explained. “It’s smaller than his career. It is. For me. I think they resented that.” 

She added that for the show to grow, RHOBH needs the people who built it to usher new girls in. “I think Beverly Hills is a struggle because they don’t want to usher new girls in,” Crystal admitted.

Carlos quickly asked Crystal if she thought RHOBH is Kyle’s show. 

“I think of her as sort of the queen bee of a sorority,” Crystal answered.

During a recent episode of Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton Stracke tried to shut down Dorit Kemsley. So, she told Dorit to argue with someone who had the same-sized wallet. Of course, everyone thought that the comment was low, but Dorit won’t soon forget that remark. Of course, that feud had Andy Cohen and Crystal Kung Minkoff speculating about the size of Jennifer Tilly’s wallet. And Jennifer’s answer was priceless.

Who has the “biggest wallet” on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

This is Jennifer’s first season as a friend of the RHOBH cast. Although rumors were circulating that the cast wanted Jennifer off the show next season, Kyle Richards shut them down. “I love Jennifer Tilly. I don’t think anyone on the show didn’t love her,” Kyle previously stated.

So, when Crystal and Jennifer were guests on Watch What Happens Live, the hot topic was who in the RHOBH cast has the most cash. While fans voted in a WWHL poll, Andy asked Crystal who she thought had the “biggest wallet” on the show. Crystal answered Jennifer.

“I think it’s Jennifer Tilly, too,” Andy added. Crystal replied, “Yeah, hands down.” Naturally, Jennifer chimed in. “I have a very small wallet because all I need to put in it is my Black AMEX. So it’s teeny!” she quipped. According to the poll, Kathy Hilton has the next biggest wallet.

It’s well known that some of Jennifer’s net worth comes from her late ex-husband. “My ex-husband was Sam Simon, who created The Simpsons. I was married to him for seven years and we were together for about 10 years,” Jennifer said on RHOBH. “And then when we got divorced, I got a piece of The Simpsons in the divorce settlement, and nobody knew that The Simpsons was going to go on for trillions of years.” The professional poker player added, “So every day I’m like, ‘Thank you, Sam.'”

I think that Jennifer is hilarious on RHOBH, and I will be disappointed if she doesn’t return next season.

Crystal Kung Minkoff’s departure from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was both sudden and sad. But at least Crystal had some good times and made some good friends, like Kathy Hilton.

And even though she’s not on RHOBH anymore, she’s still got plenty of coals in the fire. For example, a potential Broadway career. Does it get more unexpected than that?

What’s more, she hasn’t left the Bravo scene completely. She recently started a podcast where she’s already shared revelations about RHOBH. On the January 13 episode of her podcast, she shared yet another.

Crystal’s friends left her after she was cast on RHOBH

Crystal told the story of a former friend who wanted to do RHOBH but received no support from her husband. “A lot of people don’t want to do the show and I, as her friend, said, ‘I think that’s the right decision for you guys not to do it.'”

Of course, things got complicated. “Fast forward to a couple years later and I’m offered the show,” she continued. She told her friend and the conversation “wasn’t great. But it was as expected.” After the conversation, Crystal confirmed she “never heard from her again. Ever again.”

She later saw a photo of her former friend group together and had to wonder why she wasn’t invited. When she called each friend, no one answered. “I just knew what was happening.” As it turned out, Kathy knew some of these women too.

Kathy allegedly told Crystal, “‘They’ve been asking me since day one to do the show, I’ll do it if you do it.’ She’s like, ‘I know you’re going to protect me. I’ll protect you like you’re the nice one.'” Kathy also defended Crystal to her former friend group, even though it didn’t help.

Vanderpump Rules alum Lala Kent shared how the wildfires affected her family in a January 9 Instagram story. She wrote that her 4-month-old daughter Sosa was struggling to breathe because of the poor air quality in Los Angeles. She told fans she decided to evacuate to Palm Springs with her family until it’s “safe again.”

“This is one of the most devastating situations I have ever seen,” she said. “I’m obsessing over how we could be so underprepared. My heart is shattered for my community. Neighborhoods that people have called home for decades, now nonexistent. It is unimaginable.”

She also posted resources for those looking to donate.

Kathy Hilton – Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kathy Hilton has posted many Instagram stories letting her followers know ways they can help those affected by the fires. Additionally, she shared an uplifting quote on her main page, giving hope to the LA community.

“In the face of loss, may we root ourselves not in possessions, but in presence. In the fleeting beauty of connection,” the quote read.

Crystal Kung Minkoff – Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Crystal Kung Minkoff shared her support for those impacted by the fires in an Instagram post.

“Restless night,” she began. “My heart is breaking for Los Angeles and everyone impacted by the devastating Palisades fire. So many have lost their homes, their belongings, and their sense of safety in what is now the worst fire in our city’s history.”

She ended the post by thanking the brave firefighters for risking their lives to help a city in need.

Scheana Shay – Vanderpump Rules alum

Scheana Shay shared an update with fans on her January 9 Instagram story, telling her followers she and her daughter Summer evacuated to Palm Springs.

“The winds here…is so insane. We can’t even go outside.” she said in the post. “We’re good for now. We’re safe.”

She ended the video by thanking fans for their support during this time.

Garcelle Beauvais – Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

RHOBH star Garcelle Beauvais shared her gratitude for first responders in an Instagram post, writing, “Prayers for LA. We’re ok. [We] packed bags just in case! Grateful for all the firefighters and first responders.”

On January 10, she posted a video of the devastation in LA alongside a resource accepting donations.

“It looks like a movie set [but] unfortunately[,] it’s not,” she wrote. “For donations of clothing that is gently used or new as well as supplies: +COOP on 7282 Beverly Blvd.”

Sutton Stracke – Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Sutton Stracke shared a photo of the wildfire alongside a heartful message to those affected by the devastation.

“We pray for everyone in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Devastating days. I am safe so far here in Bel Air.”

The following day, Sutton shared a post alerting fans that all proceeds from her “Name’em” t-shirt sales will be dedicated to “supporting the bravo LA first responders.” She also posted on her Instagram story thanking firefighters for their service.

Tom Sandoval – Vanderpump Rules

Tom Sandoval posted several resources on his Instagram story, letting fans know how they can help those in need. He also reposted his girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson’s post encouraging people to reach out if they need help.

“To any of my friends/or just anyone please DM or text me if you need any help,” the post read. “I’ll come help move things out of your home, help your animals, kids, you, if you need somewhere to stay, I can help, etc.”

Bozoma Saint John – Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

RHOBH newcomer Bozoma Saint John shared a heartbreaking update, telling her followers she lost her home in the California fires.

“This is the house I wanted. The house I prayed for. The house I worked in blood, sweat, and tears for…This is the house where I found peace after battling with racist neighbors and a community that made me have to buy it in a trust within a trust so no one would know that [a] widowed, single Black woman with a teenager was buying on the exclusively-held beach. This was my EFF YOU, I’m here house…It is gone,” she wrote.

Bravo stars commented on the post, sharing messages of hope and love.

“Heartbroken for you and Lael,” Jessel Taank wrote. “Sending you prayers to gain strength and rebuild what has been lost.”

“I’m so sorry,” Tamra Judge commented. “Sending [prayers].”

As Season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills heats up, I can’t help but feel something is lacking. As much as we all love newbies Bozoma Saint John and Jennifer Tilly, I miss Crystal Kung Minkoff. She announced her exit back in April, just before filming began. Since then, she started a podcast called Humblebrag with Cynthia Bailey. Crystal’s kept busy and still weighed in on Real Housewives thanks to this podcast. However, I miss watching Crystal on RHOBH Season 14, and here’s why.

Why isn’t Crystal Kung Minkoff on RHOBH Season 14?

In April, Crystal’s exit became official when she posted a video. Her classy farewell message impressed Andy Cohen. She later expanded on the reasons and confirmed it wasn’t entirely her decision, in an interview with Jeff Lewis. Crystal also theorized that producers were looking forward to a season of all unmarried Housewives.

On her podcast, Crystal admitted she expected to come back for Season 14. She even marked the filming schedule on her calendar. However, Crystal didn’t want to embellish things in her real life for the sake of a storyline on the show. And in their lengthy conversation, it seemed as if that’s what producers wanted her to do. Despite not ending up with a Season 14 contract, Crystal emphasized she was grateful for the show. Hopefully, that means things ended on good terms, leaving the door open to a potential comeback.

Crystal came into her own last season

Last season, Crystal came to a bit of a crossroads. When Garcelle Beauvais said to speak up, Crystal wondered why she had to scream to be heard in the group. Her husband Rob Minkoff reminded her that she had very strong opinions that she should make known. And that she did!

It was frustrating to watch Annemarie Wiley’s apparent obsession with Sutton Stracke’s esophagus. Crystal gave up on niceties and called Annemarie “such a b*tch.” She accused the newbie of weaponizing her medical knowledge and lying about being a doctor. Annemarie’s attempts to fire back never phased her. It was also refreshing that Crystal wouldn’t let up on taking others to task for insinuating Sutton had an eating disorder. She cleared Annemarie so effectively, that the former Housewife fought with a Crystal parody account.

Crystal topped off a strong season with her reunion performance. She beautifully called out multiple cast members, including Erika Jayne and Dorit Kemsley. Much like viewers, she admitted to having “so many questions” for Kyle Richards that went unanswered. She found her voice and stepped into the role of holding others accountable. It was an odd decision by production to let her go after her best season yet. Especially when the reported reasoning was that she didn’t have a storyline.

When that came out, it was hard not to list the many other Housewives who skated by without a storyline for multiple seasons. It didn’t seem like a coincidence that, in her farewell video, Crystal pointed out the many things she shared with viewers over the years.

Crystal would have Garcelle’s back with Dorit

While we all love the activated Dorit, she’s still problematic. Just recently, the way she spoke to Garcelle bothered me. Like Garcelle, Crystal has very legitimate grievances with Dorit. And Dorit was never great at taking accountability for it.

After Annemarie alleged that Crystal called the ladies uneducated, Dorit fired back by calling Crystal a “child bride” who got “married at 12.” At the reunion, Crystal had to explain why this was particularly offensive to say about an Asian woman. Dorit, still not getting it, said, “They called Priscilla Presley a child bride.” For reference, Priscilla was 14 when her relationship with Elvis began. Crystal was 24 when she married Rob. Dorit also mistakenly said she was the only one to go to college and had a patronizing response to Crystal listing her many accomplishments.

Which brings us to Season 14’s Oceanside cast trip. It was hard to see Garcelle get brushed aside for pointing out that, no, Dorit does not own it when she gets things wrong. Dorit was pretty dismissive. Maybe she would’ve been if Crystal were there too. But while she’s on a redemption tour, it would help Dorit to finally make amends for her insensitive comments. And Crystal would ensure Garcelle had backup instead of being a lone voice.

It was a joy to watch Crystal’s friendships grow

Who would’ve thought that Crystal and Sutton could go from “Jealous of what? Your ugly leather pants?” to close friends? But in fact, the two became so close, that Sutton cried when Crystal was let go. We know how much Sutton cherishes her friendships, even if that bonding ceremony didn’t work out.

Housewives shows are all about the drama and the fighting, but fans like to see the genuine moments of friendship, too. It’s why viewers are so drawn to scenes of Boz and Dorit bonding. The Beverly Hills ladies are increasingly fractured, which is why it’s no wonder Sutton’s ceremony didn’t work. After all, most of the drama this season is over Dorit and Kyle’s falling out.

This is why I appreciate the scenes of Sutton and Garcelle hanging out so much. Last year, it was a joy to watch the trio of those two and Crystal become closer and closer friends. Crystal and Sutton’s journey reminds us that relationships on these shows can drastically change for the better. It doesn’t have to all be friendships falling apart.

Crystal already has a connection to standout newbie Jennifer Tilly

Because Beverly Hills is a small world, Crystal was already connected to Season 14 addition Jennifer Tilly outside of their mutual friendship with Sutton. Back in 2003, Jennifer starred as Madame Leota in Rob Minkoff’s The Haunted Mansion movie. Coincidentally, twenty years later, Kyle’s co-star Jamie Lee Curtis played the same role in the remake.

I love it when Housewives have longstanding histories with one another. And Jennifer has been such a joy this season, more scenes of her interacting with other Housewives would be welcome.

Just recently, Crystal invited Jennifer to her holiday party. The two also posed together at Sutton’s recent Christmas bash. It feels like we were robbed of seeing their dynamic on screen! Hopefully, Crystal will make “friend of” appearances either this season or in the future.

In a matter of moments, we get to kick 2024 to the trash bins and usher in a fresh new start via 2025. A lot has happened this year, in and out of reality television. Therefore, it is natural we are reflecting on all that transpired while hoping that the new year treats us with even softer gloves. But we do have to admit, when we think of New Year’s Eve celebrations, Bravo always springs to our minds.

Why? Because several Real Housewives cities have given us iconic New Year’s Eve-themed moments. Does “Give me pizza, you old troll” ring any bells?

Likewise, Andy Cohen is the face of Bravo. And this man rings in every ball drop live from Times Square with his buddy, Anderson Copper. While this special technically airs on CNN, clips of each year’s festivities often arrive back on Bravo, proving that all roads lead back to this network at some point or another.

This year, our daddies are likely to drink their juice. So, three cheers for a good time. And all the cheers to these top five(ish) New Year’s Eve celebrations on Bravo.

WWHL New Year’s Eve Spectacular

In 2010, Andy hosted a two-hour-long New Year’s Eve Spectacular special on Watch What Happens Live. It was wild. Stars like NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Lisa Vanderpump, Dina Manzo, Tamra Judge, Jeff Lewis, Jenni Pulos, Sandra Bernhard, and Meghan McCain attended, and the chaos was next level.

Jenni performed an original rap as NeNe blooped and bopped in the background. Meanwhile, Jeff provided the snark while Lisa and Dina presented their pets for a wedding, courtesy of Giggy and Grandma Wrinkles. RIP to you both, sweet fur babies.

A wig drop brought these chaos carriers into 2011, where Andy and Tamra shared a semi-passionate kiss in front of her then-boyfriend, who cared little. Then, as the lights dimmed on the year 2010, Kim embraced the microphone, throwing her heart and wig-loving soul into a rousing performance of her cult classic, Tardy for the Party.

This special presented like a fever dream. And we loved every second.

Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 3’s Auld Lang Syne For an Eye

During Season 3 of Real Housewives of New Jersey, this hot-tempered cast prepared to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Their getting ready sequence about took me out.

First, Milania Giudice made us choke back all our laughs as she snarled, “Gimme pizza, you old troll,” at her dad. Joe Guidice complied.

Across town, Jacqueline Laurita was teasing her hair, trying to get a Jersey-inspired bumpit in place without using an actual bumpit.

In another corner of New Jersey, Melissa Gorga giggled as her gay makeup artist flirted with her husband, Joe Gorga, who sported a muscle shirt that read “WELL-EQUIPPED.” I could hear the crunch of her heavily sprayed curls as she pursed her lips to apply a dark, heavy swipe of lipliner. It was cinema and its finest.

Once ready, the cast of RHONJ headed to The Brownstone, where cattiness and dancing ensued. Cue Rich Wakile stressing, “New Year, same assholes,” as the credits rolled on RHONJ Season 3, Auld Lang Syne For an Eye.

Perfection. No notes.

Real Housewives of New York Season 9’s A Countess No More

In Season 9 of Real Housewives of New York, Countess Luann de Lesseps followed her heart. It did not work out, but we love her love of love.

On New Year’s Eve in Palm Beach, Florida, Luann said yes to Tom D’Agostino. Their marriage lasted seven months. Her friends tried to warn her. But her heart wanted Tom, the seemingly only available man on the Upper East Side.

As these two tied the knot, the rest of the cast of RHONY was back in NYC. Bethenny Frankel was hosting a party, but Ramona Singer failed to snag an invite. She stayed home instead and got advice about handling conflicts from her daughter.

Several beats later, everyone gathered to attend a party for Luann and Tom. So many comedic moments ensued, like a monologue about the range of Ice Cream flavors and a messy toast by Dorinda Medley, who reminded half the room that Luann did not invite them to her ceremony.

Cue Bethnenny, quipping, “I hope this is the last celebration I attend for a wedding [that] I wasn’t invited to, but I did call her a whore last year, so it’s no less than I deserve.”

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 11’s New Year, Old Grudges

Crystal Kung Minkoff threw a Chinese New Year’s party at her house during Season 11 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She wanted to bring her cast into her world for a night. But, of course, nothing went as planned (mostly).

The music and dancing characters startled Kyle Richards. In contrast, a wigged Lisa Rinna applauded and cheered them on.

This finale episode held many ridiculous, campy moments. Like Sutton Stracke, who performed a Tom Petty-inspired talking head. And Erika Jayne, who added additional details to her burglary, glaucoma, and rolling cars narrative, which is now hand-stamped on every Bravo-themed ETSY store in sight. And, of course, Lisa, who shared a flashback of Elliot Mintz, laughing over the irony of this being the year of the rabbit, her ill-chosen gift from a prior season.

Crystal tried to teach these ladies some culture. But bless their hearts, I am not sure it all landed. Please come back, Crystal. Nevertheless, this was a solid New Year’s Eve moment on Bravo, courtesy of RHOBH Season 11, New Year, Old Grudges.

Andy Cohen’s Craziest NYE Moments

Again, Andy and Anderson are the giggly mainstay hosts for the ball drop in NYC on CNN. No, this channel is not Bravo. But Andy is Bravo, so we are including this here. Be well.

As for our favorite moments, in 2020, this duo played a game with Snoop Dog, joking about all the places one can get high. In 2021, Andy comically (and drunkenly) slammed Ryan Seacrest, joking, “If you look behind me, you’ll see Ryan Seacrest’s group of losers performing. I’m sorry, but if you’re watching ABC, you’re watching nothing.”

After Andy made this joke, he put his then-mayor, Bill de Blasio, on blast. His rant stressed, “Watching Mayor de Blasio do his ‘victory lap dance’ after four years of the crappiest term as the mayor of New York, the only thing that Democrats and Republicans can agree on is what a horrible mayor he has been. So, sayonara sucka!”

In 2022, the boys started hosting while dry. Being wet has provided them with far too many unhinged moments. So, stay tuned to see how they present this year as the ball drops to usher in 2025. And to all of our readers, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Crystal Kung Minkoff may be done with her career on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she’s not done with the limelight. She appeared on the show from 2021 to 2024 before announcing her departure with a heartfelt Instagram video.

But the Chinese-American television personality, podcaster, and entrepreneur has already moved on with other projects. Not only that, but Crystal is toying with the idea of a role on Broadway.

“You never know,” Crystal said of the opportunity

Crystal and her husband, director Rob Minkoff, exclusively told People that the RHOBH alum might have a role in a project Rob is currently working on.

The couple revealed that Rob is creating a musical based on the book, Farewell My Concubine. The book is a treasured story in Chinese literature. It was adapted for the big screen in 1994 and starred the late Leslie Chung, Gong Li, and Zhang Fengyi.

“Rob’s been working on a musical based on an old Chinese book and film, Farewell My Concubine,” Crystal revealed.

The film presented the material in the form of a Chinese opera with a classic love triangle storyline. It was awarded Best Foreign Language Film and Best Cinematography Oscar nominations in 1994.

Robert was asked whether he would cast Crystal in the musical. The Hollywood heavyweight said, “I hope so. I might have to twist her arm.”

Crystal added, “You know what if you told me five years ago that I would’ve been a housewife, I would’ve bet everything on it that I wouldn’t. So you never know!”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum would be in good company on Broadway. Her former costar Erika Jayne will star as Roxie Hart in Chicago for a three-week run in January 2025. Erika’s previous show was cut short by Covid.

Currently, Crystal has a coconut water line and co-hosts the Humble Brag podcast with Cynthia Bailey.

To be clear, Crystal really doesn’t care about Teddi’s breakup. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star just thinks that if Teddi wants to talk about everyone else’s problems, she should start to open up about her own.

Crystal Kung Minkoff is ready for Teddi to spill the tea

Over the last few weeks, we’ve learned more and more about Teddi’s divorce, and it’s messier than we could have ever imagined. She had an affair with her horse trainer who was also in a relationship. However, she claimed that she and Edwin Arroyave had been having issues before her indiscretion. Either way, Crystal told Us Weekly that Bravo fans deserve to hear all of the dirt.

“I don’t think it’s a requirement for a podcast to be open and vulnerable. Every podcast is different,” Crystal explained. “But do I think Teddi should be required? Yes.”

“I think if Teddi’s gonna come after everybody, she should open up more,” she continued. “My thing is, I don’t really care personally, but I don’t do that to people. That’s not expected of me. I am super honest and open in general.

Sure enough, just a few days after Crystal made this comment, Teddi launched a new podcast with Erika Jayne called Diamonds in the Rough. During their premiere episode, Teddi started speaking openly about her split, her surprising new living arrangement, and how the holidays are looking a little different this year. It’s a good step, and perhaps we should be thanking Crystal for encouraging it.

Thanksgiving is all about spending time with family and being thankful for those around you. Personally, I am grateful for Bravo, as the network and its shows keep me going throughout the entire year. But no holiday would be complete without a bit of flair-up. Below are the few Bravo moments I would be willing to fight for to the death. Do you agree?

Are you Team Teresa or Team Melissa?

This is the age-old question regarding the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Teresa Giudice has been the OG and queen of the castle for a while, but after Season 3, heads started to roll with the introduction of her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga. Tre wanted the series for herself and wasn’t a fan of how her brother pushed his way onto her franchise. Almost overnight, Teresa morphed into the conniving woman we see on RHONJ today. And poor Melissa took the brunt of it.

Viewers watched as Melissa was plotted against and lied about. I’ll be honest: I wasn’t a Missy G fan at first. I found her over-eager and annoying. But today, I proudly stand as a supporter of Team Melissa. The mother of three, for the most part, has stayed true to herself and taken the high road while Tre slummed it down below. The family feud drama added to the series’ appeal. And finally, watching Melissa walk away from the toxicity completed me. 

Where did Heather Gay’s black eye come from

Now, I am no Nancy Drew, but it was pretty obvious to me that Heather Gay did not fall on top of a sink spout during her mystery fight. The idea that the Bad Mormon could actually try and pass that story off as the truth was infuriating. Yet, some Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans believed her. Many thought that she had just become too intoxicated to remember the events of the girl’s trip. But I knew better. In my book, Jen Shah was the culprit. However, I never understood why Heather had protected her. Working in reality TV, I met many people who genuinely thought Jen was innocent of the crime. It both shocked and appalled me. After almost a year of knowing deep down I was right, Heather finally spoke the truth, settling this argument once and for all. 

Hannah Ferrier’s firing from Below Deck

During Season 5 Episode 12 of Below Deck Mediterranean, Captain Sandy Yawn let Hannah Ferrier go. At the time, Captain Sandy discovered that the chief stew had Valium onboard without a prescription, violating maritime law. Hannah and half of the Bravo following were appalled that she was let go. But to me, it made perfect sense. I hated how Captain Sandy and Malia White were blamed for doing what was right. It was apparent Hannah had broken the rules and didn’t care. 

On top of that, Hannah had never been the nicest, and I often saw her as the villain. For me, the only outcome was for her to walk the plank. The fact that some fans and Hannah couldn’t see the damage she could have caused her co-workers was just plain selfish. But at least she took a can of Coke for the road to stick it to Sandy.  

Team Carole Radziwill or Team Bethenny Frankel?

I loved this era of the Real Housewives of New York. The times that Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill were best friends were some of the best moments in the franchise. Bethenny is a fiery entrepreneur, and Carole is a facts-only writer. They were the perfect match. But somewhere along the lines, it all went south. The RHONY stars were incredibly close, but Season 10 showed their demise, leaving fans split on either side.  

During the season, it was obvious that both were happy not to be friends. But the reasoning seemed absurd. Carole stated that Bethenny wanted access to Carole’s long list of contacts. Carole noted that Bethenny was mad that Adama, the princess’ boyfriend at the time, wouldn’t work for free to help her charity. Both women made valid cases, but I ultimately chose Carole’s side as she presented a better argument.   

Sutton Stracke’s impromptu visit to Crystal Minkoff’s room

Now, this fight perhaps is the most asinine moment in the history of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Sutton Stracke, caused a kerfuffle when she tried to return Crystal Kung Minkoff’s jacket. The cast had gone to Lake Tahoe for a bit of a break, but Sutton found herself having to go on an apology tour. Now, we all saw the knock on Crystal’s door. Sutton, in my opinion, didn’t just barge in but left it to Crystal to make a mountain out of a molehill. Crystal happened to be naked, leaving her feeling “violated.” The term upset the ladies, and Sutton didn’t feel like it was a big deal.

After watching the scene, I realized it wasn’t a big deal. Sutton was just doing what every other woman on a girl’s trip does. She was enjoying herself, drinking, and returning a jacket. There was no malice behind it. But Crystal just ran with the narrative, which made me think twice about her. So, needless to say, I was on Team Sutton for this one. Now, can someone pass the gravy, please? 

TELL US – WHICH BRAVO FIGHT STILL GETS YOU UPSET?

The Real Housewives of New Jersey series has many long-established feuds. Yet the saddest one involves a family that could have been great. Unfortunately, once messy egos, pride, resentment, and leaked rumors entered their chats, this family fell apart faster than most. On this, Teresa Giudice can finally own up to what led to her estrangement from her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga. It’s resentment, honey, that made Teresa want to “f*cking blow” her “casket” while saying that’s enough.

Crystal Kung Minkoff recently joined Teresa on her podcast, Turning the Tables. After a few niceties sounded, Teresa began shedding some light on her family’s long-standing issues.

And by long-standing, I mean the SAME DAYUM FIGHTS have been happening during Seasons 3 – 14 of RHONJ.

“I don’t speak to my brother anymore and his wife,” Teresa began, asking, “What family member comes on a show behind your back? I kept my mouth shut. There are a lot of things I could’ve said throughout the years,” she noted, referencing how their battles have been “going on [for] over 10 years.”

As an aside, Melissa has always denied this claim. Teresa knew they were joining this series, she states.

But when Joe and Melissa skipped out on her wedding to Luis Ruelas, Teresa decided to cut them out of her life completely.

“They were making all this stuff up, like, ‘Why didn’t you put me in the wedding?’ I didn’t put my sister-in-law [in the wedding]. But I didn’t put her in because I didn’t want to because of everything she has done to me for the past 10 years,” Teresa explained.

But then, Teresa changed her mind. She asked Melissa to join her bridal party. Melissa, however, said no, and Teresa found this response shady as hell.

Melissa was using her nope narrative for a storyline, Teresa assumed, making her see red. “I’m tired of their sh*t. I’m not doing this anymore,” she quipped. After all, she “gave them over 10 years of chances,” and still, they could not play nicely. Allegedly.

Pot. Kettle. Black. Etc. Where RHONJ goes from here remains to be seen.
