Some fans of the Real Housewives of Orange County remember Lydia McLaughlin as the bright light of the franchise. Her mother, Judy Stirling, would toss fairy dust around and try to bring a bit of peace to the world. Sadly, Lydia isn’t finding much peace these days, as she recently lost her mother. Now the RHOC alum is dealing with another death in the family – her brother, Geoffrey Shyam Stirling. He was recently involved in a violent incident with police, and here are the details we have so far.

Geoffrey Shyam Stirling was shot by police

On Thursday, Geoffrey Shyam Stirling was shot fatally by Newport Beach police. He was the son of Canadian NTV CEO Scott Stirling. The 45-year-old was pulled over while on his motorcycle for a traffic violation. The police department revealed in a press release, “Shortly after being stopped, Stirling became uncooperative and assaulted the officer. During the ensuing violent altercation, Stirling managed to remove the department-issued taser from the officer’s duty belt and attempted to deploy it multiple times against the officer. At that point, an officer-involved shooting occurred.” As a result, Lydia’s brother was pronounced dead after being taken to Hoag Hospital.

Guillermo Tagalogon, who lives near Hoag Hospital, told OnScene.TV, via People, he heard “six or seven gunshots.” On Friday, April 18, the state attorney general announced that it was investigating the shooting, in line with California law. After the California Department of Justice completes its investigation, it will be handed over to the DOJ’s Special Prosecutions Section within the Criminal Law Division for an independent review. The Newport Beach police have 45 days from the date of the shooting to release officer-worn body camera footage of the incident.

Lydia McLaughlin speaks out

The former Real Housewives of Orange County star took to her social media to share her grief. She wrote, “My family has experienced an unimaginable loss. My brother, Geoff, was tragically taken, and our hearts are shattered. This was the song he turned to after we lost our mom. He’d cry every time. I can’t believe we’re facing this pain just 6 months after losing my best friend and mother. I know they’re both with Jesus now, and He’s walking with me through this darkness. One step at a time.” Her brother, Jesse Stirling, also posted a collage of photos.

Below the photos, Jesse wrote, “Dear Brother, We have hundreds of photos together and shared thousands of adventures. I don’t even know how to begin this memorial,” he wrote. “I’ll just say that you left us too soon at age 45. I’ll miss your spirit full of laughter and boundless enthusiasm. Though our time together was heartbreakingly cut short, the memories we created will forever echo in my heart.” The patriarch of the family added, “Geoffrey was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a television producer, script writer, actor, and model. He attended church every Sunday and supported multiple charities. We miss him already.”

Geoffrey Shyam Stirling had a criminal background

According to the Los Angeles Times, Stirling was scheduled to appear at an arraignment hearing Monday for a felony arson charge in connection with a March 21st fire. It is unclear whether the upcoming court appearance was related to the traffic stop. Geoffrey has more skeletons in his closet, too. In 2012, he was booked in Maricopa County, Arizona, on aggravated assault of an adult on a minor. He is registered on the Megan’s Law website, too. Megan’s Law is a set of federal and state laws that require the registration of sex offenders in order to provide the public with information about those offenders to protect children and the community.

Geoffrey was registered under code 290.005. The California Penal Code Section 290.005 requires registration as a sex offender for individuals convicted of offenses in another state or federal court if those offenses would be considered registerable in California. The key aspect is that the out-of-state conviction must contain all the elements of a California sex offense to trigger the registration requirement.” Geoffrey was also registered under California’s Penal Code 311.4(a) which “criminalizes the employment, coercion, or use of a minor in the production or distribution of child pornography.”

Real Housewives of Orange County is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

All her favorite things. Lydia McLaughlin honored her late mother, Judy Stirling, by incorporating some of the things she loved into a celebration of life ceremony. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum held the event over the weekend. Glitter and fairy dust were included of course.

On October 9, Lydia shared the heartbreaking news that she had lost her beloved mother. RHOC fans will recall Judy’s quirky zest for life as she appeared alongside her daughter for Season 8.

Lydia McLaughlin incorporated “glitter” into the celebration

Lydia enlisted the help of party planner Michelle [Yang] to organize the event. The vibe was positive and whimsical. The Nobleman executive editor shared some special moments from the October 20 event on social media.

“We are in full set-up mode for my mom’s celebration of life and it is going to do her life honor because we have brought in the big guns with Michelle [Yang] party planning. Let’s go,” Lydia wrote on Instagram Stories. “We have glitter and balloon arches. We have a stage with a projector. We’re going to have coffee and crepes and everything she loves to honor her.”

Guests were greeted by animators dressed as angels. Glitter and streamers were released in time to honor Judy.

The shock announcement of Judy’s passing had Lydia “heartbroken.” The RHOC alum reacted to losing her mother at age 76 with a touching social media post.

“Heartbroken but we know she’s dancing with Jesus. Fairdust, confetti bombs and crowns like heaven has never seen before,” she shared on October 9.

Lydia often wrote about her mother on social media. The mother-daughter duo were very close, and the former Bravolebrity’s words are indicative of that.

“I can’t put into words what my mom means to me,” Lydia wrote on Instagram last year. “She is the best mother, my best friend and whole world to my boys. She is a ball of joy and the definition of a free spirit. I love you @ocjudymom. You are a miracle and I want to be just like you when I grow up.”

Is it just me, or is John Janssen heading into Slade Smiley territory? You guys remember Slade, right? He was the original ick factor on the Real Housewives of Orange County. We thought he was one of a kind, but it is starting to look like he might have a doppelganger.

John Janssen comes across as thirsty (like Slade Smiley)

John never wanted to film with Shannon. Often, cameras would catch him either entering or exiting a scene. But now that he is with Alexis Bellino, everything has changed. It feels like John is going out of his way to gain attention like his effort to sue Shannon Beador. That said, we have yet to see him this season on RHOC.

Slade’s character was often called into question. For example, he was often called out for failing to pay child support. But his relationships with the cast just felt forced most of the time. Slade made no real effort to truly have a functioning relationship with any of the housewives he dated. And while he is still very much with Gretchen Rossi, that too feels like a situation he tries to work.

John Janssen has dated two housewives (like Slade Smiley)

It is well documented that John was dating Shannon for years. For nearly four years, fans of the Real Housewives of Orange County watched the duo intermingle and merge their lives together. There were often times that John seemed to hold some kind of power over Shannon and daily decisions. Also, Shannon might just be that way with men. The feeling wasn’t too far off from Slade. The father of three was the OG of the dating world. First, he dated Jo De La Rosa. He wanted the new college graduate to be a stay-at-home wife with no friends or life. But the limit was pushed when he had her wear that sexy maid’s outfit. I still have nightmares. Slade then moved on to Lauri Peterson. And finally settled on Gretchen. Now, John has only dated two OC housewives, but could he be going for the record?

Both men have struggled with the women around them

Slade was never an ally for the women on the show. But he often cruelly targeted Vicki Gunvalson for her looks, calling her “Miss Piggy.” His comedy act proved that most people shouldn’t quit their day jobs. Who made Slade the appearance police first off? It annoyed me even more when he told Lydia McLaughlin at her party to eat a cheeseburger. Slade struck me as a man who never knew how to treat a woman nicely.

John hasn’t been as bad, but there have been moments. While everyone is allowed to have an opinion it is intimidating when a man is yelling his opinions about you at the top of his lungs. John went off the handle while trying to support Shannon. The businessman yelled, “She’s not your friend. We’re done with her. Who the f*ck does she think she is? Ridiculous.” The outburst didn’t make sense because John definitely didn’t have all the facts.

At least John Janssen can be soft

While on Reality with The King podcast, John got very real about his relationship with Shannon. For one it shocked fans to hear that his relationship with Shan was “real.” John revealed, “I wanna say that my relationship with Shannon was real. She has a wonderful side to her.” John also admitted the duo had “good times,” but in the end, he couldn’t help himself. John ended his interview, noting, “I would just challenge people to think about what it might be like to be with Shannon.” Fair.

It’s worth noting John offered Alexis the full salary of her friend-of spot on RHOC not to take the offer. So, he can’t be chasing the limelight that hard.

Real Housewives of Orange County taglines over the years.

Season 18 of Real Housewives of Orange County premieres July 11 on Bravo. The new season promises new drama, a new cast member, and of course, new taglines.

The taglines for Season 18 have not yet been released but we usually get them at some point before the premiere. While we wait, let’s take a look back at some of the most iconic taglines in the show’s 18-year history.

‘It’s just money and you can’t take it with you’ – Jeana Keough

The Season 1 “taglines” weren’t so much taglines but rather random soundbites taken from the season. Lauri Peterson’s was literally just her saying, “Are the police involved?” For this reason, most of the first season taglines were forgettable, but Jeana Keough’s stood out from the pack.

Her tagline, “It’s just money and you can’t take it with you,” perfectly summed up the show and the lifestyle of Coto de Caza. The women of RHOC spend money like there is no tomorrow.

‘I want the power and the money, and I want them both’ – Vicki Gunvalson

Vicki Gunvalson’s Season 4 tagline, “I want the power and the money, and I want them both” fits her to a T. The RHOC star is known for being ambitious and a bit of a workaholic. She wants it all and we love that about her.

‘I’m smart, I’m sexy, and I’m confident. Of course people are gonna talk about me’ – Gretchen Rossi

“I’m smart, I’m sexy, and I’m confident. Of course people are gonna talk about me,” is Gretchen Rossi’s Season 5 tagline. The Entrepreneur constantly found herself in conflict in Season 5, so it makes sense her tagline would reflect that. Her cast mates questioned every facet of her life. They questioned her businesses, her relationship with Slade Smiley, and her previous marriage with Chris Rossi, who was 24 years older than her.

‘God is my savior, my husband is my king, and my body? It’s sinful’ – Alexis Bellino

We had to include Alexis Bellino’s iconic Season 6 tagline on this list. The woman loves Jesus, so it’s no surprise she found a way to reference her faith in her tagline. Alexis is making her return to RHOC this year as a “friend of.”

‘My tank is full and I’m driving into my future’ – Vicki Gunvalson

Vicki’s Season 7 tagline, “My tank is full and I’m driving into my future,” was a play on her numerous “love tank” speeches in the previous season. She was always talking about how her love tank was empty in like, every episode,

‘I may be married to a plastic surgeon, but I’m 98 percent real’ – Heather Dubrow

Heather Dubrow’s Season 7 tagline was very fitting for a show about Orange County. The ladies of RHOC have all flirted with cosmetic procedures, whether it be botox, boob jobs, or filler. If there was a potion that promised eternal youth, these ladies would take it like a shot.

‘The O.C. is full of secrets, but I have nothing to hide’ – Shannon Beador

Shannon’s Season 9 tagline, “The O.C. is full of secrets, but I have nothing to hide,” is one of the most underrated taglines in my opinion. It’s true, Shannon has been an open book on RHOC. She’s owned her mistakes and answered the tough questions.

‘I am the OG of the O.C.; everyone else is just a copy’ – Vicki Gunvalson

In Season 10, Vicki was the only OG left standing, which is quite an accomplishment She earned the right to throw a little shade at her co-stars for being Housewife newbies. By Season 9, Vicki was basically a veteran Housewife. She knew the game like the back of her hand.

If you can’t take my sparkle, then stay off my rainbow – Lydia McLaughlin

Lydia McLaughlin returned to RHOC for Season 12 with a great tagline. “If you can’t take my sparkle, then stay off my rainbow,” describes her personality perfectly. She’s sweet and tiny but not afraid to stick up for herself. It was a great choice,

‘I’ve closed the old Bea-door and opened a new one’ – Shannon Beador

Shannon chose a pun for her Season 15 tagline and honestly, it worked. It made me laugh the first time I heard it. The tagline also fit her arc for the season. Overall, it did its job.

Season 18 of Real Housewives of Orange County is set to premiere on Thursday, July 11 on Bravo. It’s been a a year since we last caught up with the ladies of Orange County and we can’t wait to see what kind of trouble they stir up this season. While we wait for the premiere, let’s take a stroll down memory lane and revisit some of the show’s most unforgettable moments.

Here are the most memorable episodes of RHOC:

Meet The Wives – Season 1, Episode 1

Photo Credit: Chris McPherson/NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via Getty Images

We would be amiss not to include the episode that started it all. The pilot of Real Housewives of Orange County aired on Bravo on March 21, 2006. The first episode provided viewers with an inside look into how the other half lives, from boob jobs to beach-front properties. The show was finding its footing in the first season. It may have been a little slow and unpolished but it was still a joy to watch.

Be Nice to the New Girl – Season 2, Episode 2

In the Season 2 episode “Be Nice To the New Girl,” Vicki Gunvalson delivered her iconic “family van” rant. The Bravo star was brought to the brink of madness after a rental car company chose to send a “little family van” to pick up 12 people. She called the company and slammed them for their “ridiculous” choice.

“I said 12 bags, six people,” she spat. “We are going on a cruise for two and a half weeks. This is not funny! You have a little family van. When do you ever bring a family van to pick up six people? This is ridiculous!”

The moment has become one of the most famous and referenced moments in the show’s history. Andy Cohen gave the funny moment a shoutout in the book “Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of The Real Housewives From the People Who Lived It.” He told author Dave Quinn that the Season 2 meltdown is one of his all-time favorite moments.

“Whenever people ask me my favorite Housewives moment, I don’t know why but I always go back to Vicki and that little family van,” he said.

Girl Fight – Season 6, Episode 13

Things got physical between Tamra Judge and Jeana Keough at a pool party in the Season 6 episode “Girl Fight.” Tension had been brewing between the two all season because of Jeana’s friendship with Tamra’s ex-husband, Simon Barney. Jeana had done a few interviews about Tamra’s divorce in the press, which caused a rift between the former friends.

Tamra decided to confront Jeana at the event and things did not go well. The confrontation resulted in wine being thrown, Tamra threatening legal action, and Jeana storming out of the party. Yikes.

Cold Shoulders – Season 8, Episode 18

The Season 8 episode “Cold Shoulders” has to be one the greatest episodes in Real Housewives history. So much went down at Vicki’s party that it’s hard to believe it wasn’t scripted. There were several surprising moments throughout the night. First, Tamra and Jim Bellino made peace after an entire season of conflict. Then, Vicki confronted Slade Smiley for making jokes about her appearance, which was a joy to watch. The peak of the episode came when Vicki’s son-in-law Ryan got in a fight with Lydia McLaughlin’s mom. Ryan, who had recently returned from war, saw Lydia’s mom sitting with her shoes on the couch and he was not having it. He scolded her and accused her of “disrespecting” him. Fans accused Ryan of being “drunk.”

Game Changer – Season 10, Episode 5

Our hearts broke watching the Season 10 episode “Game Changer.” In the episode, Vicki got a call alerting her that her mother passed away. The Bravo star broke down and began sobbing on the kitchen floor. The episode stands out as one of the most emotional Real Housewives episodes.

Whooping it up for Wedding Bells – Season 14, Episode 20

Who could forget Tamra’s failed escape plan in the Season 14 episode “Whooping it up for Wedding Bells?” The mother-of-four was trying to avoid a conversation with Gina Kirschenheiter and ended up drunkenly stumbling into a bush. So iconic.

Throughout all of the Housewives franchises, we’ve said goodbye to many faces – only for them to pop up again a few seasons later. Sometimes it’s great to see a familiar face bring back some familiar drama. Other times, a comeback can be a reminder of why someone left (or was asked to leave) the first time. And as always, Tamra Judge has an OPINION!!!!

The Real Housewives of Orange County has had its share of comeback attempts in its 17 seasons – RHOC OG Tamra herself was “fired” for two years before returning last season. Tamra was recently asked to name the worst RHOC comeback, and she wasted no time naming her pick.

Tamra thinks “boring” Lydia McLaughlin’s comeback fell flat

On the May 7 episode of Tamra and Teddi Mellencamp’s podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, a caller asked for their thoughts on ex-‘Wives making their way back to the show.

Tamra surmised that some viewers might welcome the “nostalgia” of their favorites getting a second chance, but not every alum has what it takes.

Tamra added, “It’s got to make sense. It can’t be a former Housewife that was on and she got fired because she’s boring.”

Before getting to the shade, Tamra listed some recent comebacks she was here for. She believed that Alexis Bellino’s filming for RHOC Season 18 makes sense due to the Alexis/John Janssen/Shannon Beador triangle of dysfunction. Tamra’s also glad that Porsha Williams is returning to Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Then, back to the shade. The caller shared that they weren’t a fan of Lydia McLaughlin’s second go at RHOC. Glittery Lydia joined the show as a newbie in Season 8 and came back for more in Season 12.

Tamra definitely agreed. “[Lydia’s return] was a HUGE flop. And then what happened? She was gone again.”

In the past, Lydia’s talked about how “mean” the other women were behind the scenes, so the chances of her ever coming back again are probably zero.

Did Tamra completely forget about Lydia’s Season 12 Sad Charlie Chaplin drag getup or her “Balls Voyage” party for her husband’s vasectomy? Well, we all probably did.

Season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County finished filming and is expected to return later this year. Old seasons stream on Peacock.

RHOC Housewives ranked

Nobody could have predicted that when The Real Housewives of Orange County debuted in 2006, it would be such a hit for the network. Viewers became obsessed with the pop culture aspect of peeking behind the guiled gates that kept our everyday Desperate Housewives placated. Since the fateful day, the landscape forever changed reality TV, and we have RHOC viewers who haven’t looked back. Now, we’re delving into all of those wives who have made the show such must-see television. Here are all of the past and present RHOC Housewives ranked.

26 – Kimberly Bryant

I wasn’t too sad to see Kimberly Bryant leave the OC for the Windy City, all in the name of skincare. Kimberly was your typical bougie housewife who prided herself on her breast implants.

25 – Elizabeth Lyn Vargas

At one point, Elizabeth Lyn Vargas was interesting. I mean, she hooked me with her cult upbringing, but her lying about her ex-husband being a billionaire wasn’t a great look for her. She got more interesting after her one season when her ex-boyfriend kidnapped her and held her hostage in her own home.

24 – Kelly Dodd

Not much to say about this housewife, so I am going to go by the Thumper Rule: if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

23 & 22 – Jen Pedranti and Jen Armstrong

Honestly, I can’t tell them apart. I forgot both were even on the show. Both are blonde. One is a doctor, and one is a yoga instructor. You figure it out.

21 – Noella Bergener

Noella Bergener was a trip! She not only gifted Heather Dubrow’s daughter porn, but she riled the uptight Housewives to no end. Noella went through the wringer on her season as she was dealing with a divorce from sweet James Bergener, who was known as an ambulance-chasing lawyer. Noella was a proud biracial and bisexual housewife and wasn’t afraid to expose that Heather “Hulk” slammed a camera operator. Perhaps the highlight of her time was showing up to a cast trip she was never invited on.

20 – Braunwyn Windham-Burke

Perhaps one of the most disliked housewives had to be Braunwyn Windham-Burke, because everything she did was for attention. The mother came out of the closet as a lesbian while on the series, and even though she liked girls, she and her husband still renewed their vows. That’s called bi-erasure, folks!

It was taboo enough that she had a sex apartment specifically for her threesomes. Perhaps the weirdest thing about Braunwyn was the fact that she was jealous of the idea of her then-husband eventually moving on with another woman. Basically, she wanted her cake and to eat it too.

19 – Quinn Fry

I really enjoyed watching Quinn Fry, mainly because she was a cougar and childless. Between wearing wigs for impromptu role-playing segments in public and none of the women liked her, she was a hit for me, even if some consider her time on the show forgettable.

18 – Peggy Tanous

Season 6 introduced fans to Peggy Tanous, who is most remembered for her love of plastic surgery and lavish lifestyle. Peggy was extremely into healthy living, which came across as borderline obsessive. Even though she had a run-in or two with Vicki Gunvalson, nothing ever really stuck out about the blonde housewife.

17 – Peggy Sulahian

Between earning her degree and living her American Dream, Peggy Sulahian wasn’t the best fit for the series. With that being said, she did have some moments, which included fighting with Tamra Judge and Kelly, and her double mastectomy health storyline. The ladies were unsure whether Peggy had fought cancer or not and could never really get to a conclusive answer.

16 – Lizzie Rovsek

Lizzie Rovsek was the bathing suit queen who was one of only a handful of brunettes in the series. Between Vicki mistaking her for a Mexican and forcing Tamra to run off into the night after calling her out, Lizzie was okay in my book. It was also humorous to hear her complaining about her husband’s penis after she complained about his lack of intimacy.

15 – Lynne Curtin

Lynne Curtin was just always in a purple haze. She was usually so medicated she didn’t know where her daughters were. The most iconic move, however, was when Lynne chose to get a facelift even though she and her husband were severely in debt. Lynne brought the drama as Bravo cameras even caught her being served with an eviction notice. I’m just thankful those cuffs and butterfly jewelry never really took off because they were ugly as sin.

14 – Tammy Kinckerbocker

https://www.instagram.com/p/O5e6VFGeA8/

God, I loved me some Tammy Knickerbocker, mainly because she was so raw. Viewers watched as her ex-husband left his fortune to his Thai lover, rather than his daughter. She didn’t have it easy after her divorce but always tried to be positive. Her major storyline revolved around her relationship with Duff, Vicki Gunvalson’s employee since neither one of them could figure out if they liked one another.

13 – Alexis Bellino

Jesus Jugs! Jesus Jugs! Alexis Bellino, a devout but hypocritical Christian, was what was needed to stand up to Vicki. Alexis gave us serious journalist vibes (not) and couldn’t stop licking her lips. I hope she comes back next season now that she is dating John Janssen

12- Lydia Mclaughlin

Lydia Mclaughlin was compelling, especially when up against Tamra. She was airy fairy and literally had her mother throw pixie dust on her. Don’t worry, it was just glitter, and mythical creatures were harmed in the process. Lydia was a hippie at heart who brought a levity to the series.

11 – Emily Simpson

Eh, Emily Simpson is just eh for me. Her husband Shane kept it interesting with their weird and sassy relationship, but now she is all about the Ozempic, and I can’t. Last season showed a drunk Emily taking down everyone around her, and I need more of that behavior.

10 – Jeana Keough

Jeana Keough is forever the doormat mom who let her spoiled kids walk all over her. An OG who still deserves her moment, she also sided with Simon Barney in the divorce, earning her a drink in her face from Tamra.

9 – Lauri Peterson

Lauri Peterson was the calmest of the OC bunch. Even though she did accuse Vicki of having a threesome. Lauri went through a lot during her time on the series, which included kicking her daughter out of her home, being a terrible assistant at Coto Insurance, and marrying a rich man who let her leave the show. As I say, don’t hate the player, hate the game.

8 – Jo De La Rosa

I think we forget the trail that Jo De La Rosa blazed by first dating Slade Smiley. She was a young 20-something who was just trying to figure out her life when an older, seemingly wealthy man came and started controlling her like his doll. She never felt comfortable being a stay-at-home housewife, and no one would forget her maid outfit.

7 – Gina Kirschenheiter

This East Coast girl is making it a West Coast world. Gina Kirschenheiter is one of my favorites. Even though she may be living in her condo on the poor side of the OC, she still delivers. I like how she holds others accountable for their actions, and it was good to see her come out on top after her DUI.

6 – Meghan King Edmonds

Meghan King might have been the very first to do her own versions of “Receipts. Proof. Timeline” when she went after Brooks Ayers’ fake cancer story. Her disruption of Shannon Beador’s reality was also pretty hilarious to watch. Not only did she look like Charlie Chaplin in drag she also successfully reunited the Tres Amigas.

5 – Heather Dubrow

She has the nickname Fancy Pants. Enough said. Okay fine, I’ll give a little more. Heather is very rich, and not afraid to show off that wealth. But that’s not at all what she’s entirely about. We have seen Heather speak openly to her children about sexuality, gender, and life in general. She’s a true warrior for equality and social justice. For that, she should always be celebrated.

4 – Shannon Beador

I am always rooting for Shannon Storms, but sometimes she just can’t help herself. Shannon lying in a mock grave while in marriage counseling will forever live rent-free in my head. But she’s had trouble in recent months after a DUI and the mess surrounding Alexis and Shannon’s ex, John. Buckle up; the future’s stormy for Shannon.

3 – Gretchen Rossi

In the top three is Gretchen Rossi for what felt like an arranged marriage to a much older and wealthier man, but my main question was always, how does her hair and makeup look so good? Gretchen had a moment when she befriended Tammy Sue, but ultimately was betrayed by her. Still, it made for good TV.

2 – Vicki Gunvalson

The OG of the OC is number two, and for good reason. I’ll never get tired of watching Vicki scream that the Real Housewives of Orange County is her show or that her love tank needs to be refueled. Vicki makes pushing the boundaries of new Housewives look like an Olympic sport.

1 – Tamra Judge

Tamra once asked, “Is your ass jealous of the sh*t that comes out of your mouth?” And I have to say that pretty much sums up every housewife that has ever graced the series. Tamra changed the entire look of the OC. She embraced being a villain and was always willing to go a bit deeper for the story. Now, she’s feuding with her former Amigas. It’s going to be an interesting season of RHOC ahead.

In the last 17 years, many Real Housewives stars have come and gone. The franchise has become a bit of a revolving door, and while some housewives have said goodbye for good, others have proven you can always come home again. Here are Real Housewives who’ve returned to the franchise after leaving.

For this list, we are only including women who have returned as FULL-TIME cast members. Sorry, Vicki Gunvalson.

Tamra Judge (Real Housewives of Orange County)

Fans were first introduced to Tamra Judge as a fiery, petite blond on Season 3 of Real Housewives of Orange County. Over the next 12 seasons, the mother-of-four created a dedicated fanbase as she rebuilt her life after her divorce from Simon Barney. Fans watched her reinvent her professional life and her love life, and we were so here for it.

For a while, Tamra felt like the heart of RHOC, so fans were shocked when news broke that she would not be returning to the show for Season 15. However, the California native’s hiatus was short-lived. She returned to RHOC for Season 17 as a full-time cast member.

NeNe Leakes (Real Housewives of Atlanta)

(Photo by: Charles Sykes/Bravo/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images)

NeNe Leakes has to be one of the most entertaining housewives of all time, so naturally, fans were devastated when she left Real Housewives of Atlanta after Season 7. Lucky for us, NeNe decided to give the show another try when she returned as a full-time cast member for Season 10.

But her comeback was short-lived. She left the show for the second time after Season 12. Since her departure, the former peach-holder has been critical of the network. In April 2022, she filed a lawsuit against against “NBCUniversal, Bravo, True Entertainment, Truly Original, and executive producer Andy [Cohen]” citing “unfavorable working conditions.” The lawsuit was later dismissed.

Shereé Whitfield (Real Housewives of Atlanta)

(Photo by: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images)

Shereé Whitfield left RHOA after a drama-filled Season 4 but later returned to the show for Seasons 9 and 10. Thankfully, that wasn’t the last of Shereé. She re-joined the cast of RHOA in 2022 for Season 14.

Let’s hope Shereé holds onto her peach longer the third time. The show simply isn’t the same without her.

Heather Dubrow (Real Housewives of Orange County)

(Photo by: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images)

Heather Dubrow made her Bravo debut in Season 7 of RHOC. She was a brunette in a sea of blondes and fans quickly took a liking to the new cast member. We loved her relationship, her humor, and most importantly her huge, gigantic house.

Heather left the show after Season 11 but later returned to the franchise for Season 16 of RHOC.

Bethenny Frankel (Real Housewives of New York)

(Photo by: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images)

Bethenny Frankel is an OG Real Housewives of New York star. Fans were first introduced to the Skinny Girl founder as a scrappy, young entrepreneur trying to make her way in the world. She became an early fan favorite, probably because she was the most relatable of the girls.

Bethenny left the series after Season 3 but later returned as a full-time cast member in Season 7. She turned in her apple for a second time following Season 11, which was a very emotional season for the Bravo star. Now that Bethenny has been calling out Bravo on her podcast, we doubt she’ll return to the show in the future.

Lydia McLaughlin (Real Housewives of Orange County)

(Photo by: Charles Sykes/Bravo/NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via Getty Images)

Lydia McLaughlin made quite an impression when she joined RHOC for Season 8. The mother-of-three wasn’t afraid to get involved in the drama and fans were excited to see more of her.

Unfortunately, Lydia did not return for Season 9 but she did give it one more try in Season 12. However, she decided to throw in her orange for a second time after just one season.

Dina Manzo (Real Housewives of New Jersey)

(Photo by: Charles Sykes/Bravo/NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via Getty Images)

Dina Manzo left Real Housewives of New Jersey after Season 2 but made a comeback for Season 6. However, her return was short-lived. She left the show for a second time after she relocated to California.

The Real Housewives franchise wouldn’t be complete without the mothers of the Housewives. Over the last two decades, we’ve been introduced to many of the women who raised the most legendary Housewives. Whether the moms are there to keep the peace or create some drama of their own, we always love seeing them onscreen.

Here are the most iconic mothers of Real Housewives.

Lois Rinna (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills)

Perhaps one of the most beloved Real Housewives moms of all time. Lisa Rinna‘s mom, Lois, frequently appeared on the show, and fans absolutely adored her. Even Bravo fans who were “anti-Rinna” were “pro-Lois.”

Lois passed away in November 2021 at the age of 93, People reported. Fans watched Rinna struggle through the grief of losing her mother on Season 12 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Joyce Jones ‘Mama Joyce’ (Real Housewives of Atlanta)

Kandi Burruss‘ mom Joyce, more commonly known as “Mama Joyce,” is the OG of iconic Real Housewives moms. Mama Joyce isn’t afraid to stir the pot and make her own storylines. From her infamous feud with her son-in-law to going “undercover” to stir up dirt on Phaedra Parks, Mama Joyce’s impact on Real Housewives of Atlanta is unforgettable. She really is such a legend. Come on Bravo, give the woman her own show!

Judy Stirling (Real Housewives of Orange County)

Lydia McLaughlin was a natural fit for Real Housewives of Orange County. She was a rich, married Christian with too many expensive handbags, just like most of her castmates. But Lydia’s mom, Judy Stirling, offered something entirely different. She was a hippie who loved fairy dust and smoking marijuana. Love that for her. She was cool, a little wild, and perfect for the show. I mean, who could forget her showdown with Vicki Gunvalson‘s daughter’s husband Ryan?

Note to readers, if you ever go to Vicki’s house, DO NOT put your feet on the couch or Ryan will try and throw you out of the house.

Gloria Kamen (Real Housewives of New York)

Jill Zarin‘s mom, Gloria Kamen, was a fan favorite on the early seasons of Real Housewives of New York. While she only made a few appearances, they were memorable and struck a chord with fans. Who could forget her infamous Season 2 scene where she comforted a crying Bethenny Frankel and shared some wisdom about the passage of time. Iconic.

Dorothy Dillard (Real Housewives of Potomac)

Candiace Dillard-Bassett‘s complicated relationship with her mother Dorothy Dillard has been entertaining viewers for years. Like Candiace, Dorothy is strong-willed and never afraid to share her opinion, which makes her perfect TV. From her “feud” with Candiace’s husband Chris to her devastating one-liners, Ms. Dorothy has made Real Housewives of Potomac a joy to watch.

Dale Mercer (Real Housewives of New York)

(Photo by JP Yim/Getty Images for Big Apple Circus)

Tinsley Mortimer‘s mother, Dale Mercer, gave us so much during her time on Real Housewives of New York. We’ll never forget when Dale accompanied Tinsley to try on wedding dresses even though Tinsley wasn’t even engaged. Insane. And who could forget all the Big Apple Circus drama? Fans may have found Dale a little cold but it’s hard to ignore her impact on Tinsley’s RHONY arc. Tinsley’s story would’ve felt incomplete without Dale on the show.

Linda ‘LD’ (Real Housewives of Salt Lake City)

(Watch What Happens Live/YouTube)

Monica Garcia‘s mom Linda has been making headlines recently after her blowup fight with her daughter on Season 4 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Some fans criticized Monica for raising her voice at her mother while others slammed Linda for not taking her daughter’s side in the argument with co-star Angie Katsanevas. Either way, Linda has solidified her place within the franchise. It’s not often that a Real Housewives mother is a central storyline of the show. Love her or hate her, we expect to see a lot more of Linda on Season 4 of RHOSLC.

Questions We Have After Watching the RHOSLC Mid-Season Trailer https://www.realitytea.com/2023/10/20/questions-we-have-after-watching-rhoslc-mid-season-trailer/ https://www.realitytea.com/2023/10/20/questions-we-have-after-watching-rhoslc-mid-season-trailer/#respond Fri, 20 Oct 2023 20:53:54 +0000 https://www.realitytea.com/?p=735915 Is Meredith Marks the new super villain?

The mid-season trailer for Season 4 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was released on Tuesday, October 17 and fans are buzzing with questions about the sneak-peak. What did Meredith Marks say to make the girls turn on her? Why was Monica Garcia crying on the Bermuda trip? And WHY were the RHOSLC ladies wearing bonnets in one scene???

Here are our thoughts and theories about the RHOSLC mid-season trailer and what is to come this season.

What Happened on the Bermuda Trip from Hell?

Bravo/YouTube

Producers have been teasing the explosive girls’ trip to Bermuda since the RHOSLC Season 4 premiere. In the first few minutes of the premiere, producers showed a snippet from the girls’ trip in which a panicked Heather Gay says to someone on the phone, “How could she do this to us?” and “How did we all fall for it?” At the time, we didn’t know who Heather was referring to. However, the mid-season trailer makes it seem like Meredith is the culprit.

In the new trailer, Monica is seen crying and running to the bathroom. She is followed closely by co-star Lisa Barlow, who asks her, “Why would she do this to you?” The trailer then cuts to a confessional of Meredith, saying, “It gets to a point where you’re accused of something over and over again. You may as well do it.” OMG.

Meredith must have done or said something to betray Monica, which seems odd considering that Monica has had Meredith’s back repeatedly this season despite barely knowing her.

What Is Heather’s ‘Devastating’ Information About?

Presley Ann/Bravo via Getty Images

In the sneak peek, Heather tells Meredith she received some devastating information. Naturally, we have so many questions. What could it be about? Heather’s family? Meredith’s family? Could is possibly be about Jen Shah? We don’t know, but we’re dying to find out.

Why Are the Women Wearing Bonnets?

Bravo/YouTube

Okay, we obviously have to talk about that one scene where the women are wearing…bonnets? We need to know more.

Costumed events are a staple of the Real Housewives franchise and they always make for some pretty funny visuals. It’s not every day we get to see Ramona Singer fighting with the women while dressed like 2000s Britney Spears or Lydia McLaughlin dressed up as Charlie Chaplin. It’s always entertaining to see the women get heated over petty drama while wearing ridiculous costumes.

Judging from the mid-season trailer, it seems like the ladies of RHOSLC will be giving a nod to colonial fashion this season.

Why Was Meredith Hooked up to an IV?

Bravo/YouTube

In a shocking turn of events, the mid-season trailer ends with a close-up of Meredith lying in bed, hooked up to an IV, with a look of deep regret on her face. We are obviously wondering what happened that could have led to this moment. Could she have gotten dehydrated in Mexico? Could it be due to drinking too much on the girls’ trip? We don’t know…yet.

Is Meredith the Show’s New Super Villain?

Bravo/YouTube

Meredith is really getting a villain edit this season and honestly, we love it. From her “rumors and nastiness” rant in Palm Springs to her vague threats about exposing her co-stars’ secrets, the mother-of-two showed up to work this season.

Meredith was an early fan-favorite but she sort of disappeared in the background last season. She was visibly hurt by Lisa’s hot mic moment at the end of Season 2 and therefore, appeared much more guarded in Season 3. This season, we’re getting a whole new Meredith. The jewelry designer seems focused on revenge and we’re on board. I mean, she was totally the star of the mid-season trailer.

Based on the trailer, we’re assuming Meredith revealed some sensitive information about her co-star Monica but what led to this betrayal is a mystery to us. At this point, Monica is probably Meredith’s number-one ally, so why turn on her? What could’ve happened? And then there is the Lisa Barlow of it all. Meredith has made an effort to repair her friendship with Lisa this season but the recent trailer has us wondering…was it all a revenge ploy? If so, that is some dark s*** Meredith but thank you for making excellent TV.
