According to Erika Jayne, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp is doing amazingly well amid her cancer battle.
“She’s doing very well,” Erika said following her Masked Singer elimination on April 9. “She’s very active, and she’s living her life to the fullest.“
Erika recently saw Teddi at a mutual friend’s birthday party and was able to catch up on how she’s doing.

The XXPEN$IVE (to be Me) singer told Page Six that Teddi is in the “fight of her life.” Teddi is battling Stage 4 melanoma, which has metastasized to her brain and lungs. Her medical team has been straightforward with her, putting her chance of survival at “50/50.”
Even though her closest friends are “there for her,” Teddi admits that at times she feels isolated in her journey.
“Sometimes I am so focused on ‘being strong’ that I forget I am allowed to be sad, cry it out, and feel very alone,” she told her Instagram followers last week. “I love my kids, friends and family so much and am forever grateful to them, but dang, today is one of those days.”
Nevertheless, Teddi is fighting to live, despite her dad making plans for her burial in the family mausoleum. “I need to clarify that this was a light-hearted conversation,” she explained. “[We were] laughing the whole time.”
While taking her health issues deadly seriously, Teddi still finds time to exercise and spend time with her three kids. Not only is Teddi fighting for her life, “but also for my family’s life and all the people I love,” she said in an earlier interview.
Although Teddi is open about her health, she’s avoided the mantra she’s always used with her children: “Mommies always come back.”
“They all know I’m fighting the hardest I possibly can,” she said. “But I haven’t said, ‘Mommies always come back,’ because I don’t wanna lie to them. And I [just] don’t know.”
