After helming “The Kelly Clarkson Show” for nearly six years, the host is possibly looking to say her goodbyes to NBC when her contract ends next year. The insider notified Page Six that for Clarkson, her children will always be her “number one priority” and described the afternoon talk show as “grueling” and “a whole lot of work.”
The insider then mentioned hearing that “Kelly would like to spend more time down South.” The singer-turned-talk-show-host reportedly went on a nearly two-week hiatus last month because of a “personal matter.” During the period, several celebrities took over as guest hosts, and while the exact cause of her absence still remains unclear, it certainly did contribute to the ongoing tittle-tattle. Clarkson only returned for the 1,000th episode of the show with an emotional message for viewers, claiming she has “lost, alone, a lot.”
Kelly Clarkson moved from Los Angeles to NYC for the show and now might be leaving the city, with rumors of her exit surfacing. She shares two children, 10-year-old River and 8-year-old Remy, with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. Her kids have previously made appearances on the talk show.
