In a surprising turn of events, Gael recently announced she was expecting her first child. And the baby’s daddy was none other than Nathan. Bravo broke the exciting news to Below Deck Med fans earlier this week. The couple confirmed their exciting news via The Daily Dish, sharing, “We’re beyond excited to share our adventures with our tiny travel buddy.” Viewers first had an inkling there was a baby on the way when Gael posted on her Instagram on March 30. The deckhand posted a video of two stick figures dancing and then being joined by a smaller green stick.
She wrote, “Yep, you saw that right. Now go ahead and speculate.” Nathan took to the comments, writing, “Excitement is real.” Aesha Scott added, “Beyond Happy.” While her fiancé added, “You’re having a green baby!?!? Congrats??” Eagle-eyed viewers had a hunch that Gael might be expecting after she posted a video in January. In the video, Gael can be seen cradling her stomach, and in another scene, she also shows off a sonogram. Gael wrote, “I know it’s a little late for the end of the year, but 2024 was hardly a year to forget.”

The future mother and father learned the sex of their child on Valentine’s Day. Gael and Nathan shared a video of themselves on the beach with the Sydney Harbor behind them. Fans could see the bridge and the Golden Bucket behind them. Both were wearing white and in front of them was a large white pot. In the caption, Nathan wrote, “The moment our hearts grew even bigger… Our little boy. We can’t wait to share our world, our laughter, and all of life’s wild adventures with you, little one. Our greatest journey yet is just beginning.” The duo had pink and blue cupcakes around them as they shared their gender reveal.
The pair shared their predictions. “I think we’re gonna have a girl,” Nathan said, while Gael noted, “I think we’re gonna have a boy.” After dropping the secret color into the bowl blue smoke began to rise up while blue confetti shot over their heads. The couple seemed deliriously happy as Nathan wrote, “Double trouble.” Congrats to the happy couple!
